Now on my second Smart Fortwo - the newer model is a great improvement. Easy to park, easy on petrol, nippy, loaded with lots of goodies and despite what you would think, you can get a heck of a lot into it. What's not to like? I'm looking at getting my third Smart in December/January. My only disappointment is that trials of the new electric Smart are restricted to the South East/London so only folk who live down there can take part. Is that some kind of regional bias?

We have the newer smart the 57 reg and it is fantastic, even my husband of whom would not admit to owning one at the start has admitted that it is a fantastic little car. There is a suprising amount of room, we have a Labradour of whom rides comfortably in the boot and when we looked after afriends dogs (a Lab collie cross and another lab) They all fitted in no problem. I really would recommend this car, the only downer is that you do feel every speed bump! Also it has only two seats, but at lea ...

The Smart Fortwo Passion is an expensive little car considering the quality. Bought one brand new that had trouble with a water leak from the start. After 2 years of in and out of shop, dealer changed to another one (used) that has again developed a water leak. Not covered by insurance. Generally cut, cheap to run, but not well made.
I would like to say you get what you pay for, but in this case you get less.

Smart Cars like the Smart ForTwo are small cute car inexpensive to run. however what ever you save in running it, you pay in the outlay.
Had a new one developed a water leak in weeks. 2 years of back and forth to the shops, they replaced with another(used one). this one now has a leak. $50 to fix, insurance does not cover leaks. This is a case of not getting what you pay for. Car expensive, not refkected in the construction, certainly not to be associated with daimler-crystler!

The intriguing little Smart car has been around for ten years now, which is hard to believe, but looks as fresh as anything you can buy to this day, despite the new '451' model being launched at Mercedes benz/ Smart dealerships as I type.

To compare the Smart with a run-of-the-mill Supermini would be churlish....

For starters, it has two seats, not four and Instead of the usual 1.1 litre engine and five speed 'box, a Smart has a 700cc Turbo unit, with 6 speed tiptronic gearchange and plast ...

The Smart ForTwo Passion is a very good car, simple spacious driving space and we find, although it has a small space in the boot area, we actually don't do many things that require much more space - I have actually had my golf clubs in it before!
We had the cruise control put in our Passion, and I think its great. Not a comfortable car compared to my Rover 75, but lots of fun. We went away for 4 days in this car, and one time we found a couple who had manged to go camping for a week with all t ...

So much is great about this car - the basic design concept works really well - and living in a big city, being single and having no kids it is the perfect vehicle for 95% of my journeys. But given that this is a city car it is slow off the mark and has a horrendous gearbox that can leave you powerless - literally a sitting duck across roundabouts and junctions - a CVT box would have been much better. The servicing costs are outrageous and the hard suspension means you are frequently having to c ...

I'm selling this Smart Fortwo Passion very soon! It seems to me that the Smart Car should be viewed as an enthusiasts car, much like an old Beetle or vintage car, because it needs to be tended to by a specialst garage (Smart).

The Smart Fortwo Passion is a nice car to drive but has it has its bad points. Very noisy, water leaks in when through windows when it rains, demister doesn't demist windows. You have to open windows and have a shower just to demist the windows.

We have driven the Smart car for over a year and would highly recommend it to anyone. It's the perfect in town car. Very economical, roomy and extremely safe.

Unless you already own a flying saucer, you will be unprepared for the type of attention the MCC Smart Car is generating. It is simply incredible: it is impossible to go downtown and not be interrogated about the car. Children fall in love with it immediatelly and smile at us for no other reason that this car looks like a toy (which it is not).
