After two years of occasional mowing, it had given up the ghost. Mowed longish grass at medium height, but the motor overheated and steam was billowing out. Now it's died. Very disappointed. The plastic on/off lever is poor quality too. Mower often cuts out on longer grass. Fed up. (read more)

My Qualcast Cobra Quiet 32 is just giving up the ghost after several years of hard use. So I am looking for another of the same. I love its' modest decibels and tough approach to rough and smooth. The flick of the lever to change the blade level...
The only weakness has been a tendency to sometimes snarl up the blade and jam but it's not difficult to release it. As it's got older it has increased in frequency of stops at tough bits as it seems to lack the power now to drive the blade round...

alstalda,
Yes, I now have it on and working perfectly
They call it a lawnmower/lawnrake positioning lever (ES 1118186) would you believe!
I got it from a company called e spares and it was very cheap!
Regards,

The Qualcast Cobra Quiet 32 is cheap and reliable. As to be expected performs badly if you try and cut too low when the grass is very long but gets round this by having a max cut of around 65mm so you can have two swipes at it - job done. (read more)

Qualcast Cobra Quiet is built down to a price, not up to a standard. disappointing. dreadful switch that broke within the first season of using. poor quality plastic, bad design, unrepairable and very frustrating. naturally spares are unavailable. (read more)

RGS 345.... did you order the right lever/switch/trigger or whatever qualcast want to call it?
I'm having the same problem, I've had my Qualcast Cobra for many trouble free years until this summer (summer,...ha !) the handle broke and I'm having a problem finding a replacement. Any help would be appreciated. Other than the handle, this is a great little mower & very quiet as the name implies!
