    I'm 24 hours into a problem, I'm sending regular emails and 'tickets' asking for an update. I'm phoning. Do I get a response? Well only if I actually state in my query - Seems pointless writing this as you won't respond!

    HostingUK would transform their customer relationship if they communicated. They have a good support team who have been with the company for years, we all know things can go wrong, but leaving a customer in the dark is unforgivable and when they sit their sending emails begging for feedback, its also humilitating. I've been using hostingUK for about 8 years with multiple sites, unfortunately I have been steadily removing sites on renewal to other providers such as EUKhosts and Titan, neither of which ever seem to go down. So I have no idea what their support will be like.

    We have been using HostingUK for our business website. Not happy with the service from support. Had a problem where our Livestats stopped working, was told that it's an older version so can't be fixed - but we are still being charged for it as part of our package. We have sent subsequent emails to them about it not working - and have got no reply at all. Seems like they are totally ignoring the problem and are hoping it will go away. Not happy and we will be ending our contract with them soon.

    I am not impressed with the service provided by Hosting UK. I agree with other posts - the service can be awful with staff dismissing any queries with a it-must-be-the-code response. Permissions on their servers seemed to be radnomly re-set and at other times content was overwritten with older versions.I have tried complaining and have even been asked to provide proof that the content was actually overwritten!

    Things repeatedly seem to happen without warning - older versions overwriting more recent versions, pemissions changes on folders and databases and so on
    I am so disappointed with Hosting UKs customer service that I have moved my two sites away despie losing nearly a year's worth of hosting for doing so.     Well I've had hosting accounts with a number of UK-based companies in the last 10 years and - to date - these guys are the best. At present, I special in .NET sites, but my guess is that my comments apply across-the-board. If you want personal technical support that not been outsourced, then these guys are for you. They are knowledgeable, personally and efficient. In my experience, these are qualities that are difficult to find in the web hsoting business these days.

    I always find that the naysayers (especially the guest accounts) generally tend to be inferior rival companies in disguise! ;-)

    Our website is regularly offline with no warnings that I am aware of from Tollon.
    The telephone engineers I feel were unhelpful and assumed I know nothing about hosting/internet/websites in my opinion.
    I am not happy with the support from the telephone operators, today there were apparently no issues at around 12.45GMT even though we were receiving no web inquiries. By 1.00pmGMT our website was offline with no warnings. Something to do with a UPS upgrade, in the middle of the day!I do not recomm ...

    I have been using Hosting UK for almost 3 years now. I recommend them to everyone that talks to me about hosting. I am a software developer and I have never had a issue with them. If I email in with a support request it is answered within the hour normally. If I phone up I always get a friendly familiar voice on the other end of the phone, and always find the solution.     I'm a Hosting UK user and have been for a few years, I was shocked to read this review and felt compelled to reply as I have always had good service. I know I can call or email most hours of the day 7 days a week and get a knowledgable and friendly resolution. I'm a developer and contact with my hosting company is a must for various reasons so it's nice not to be fobbed off by a pre recorded voice!     Hosting UK is a good place to host active or passive web sites, databases, domains and email. You could get greater reliability elsewhere by paying a lot more - the choice is yours. There were no surprises for me as I expected a basic level of support for the excellent range of services. Very hard to beat in terms of value for money.

    HostingUK may seem to be quite cheap, but it is a complete waste of money when it comes to providing support and customer assistance. I had to duplicate a site I was having problems with, to prove to them that there was a problem with their server, and despite the fact that the site duplicate was working perfectly well on another server, they still refused to acknowledge the problem at their end, attributing this to bad coding!     We have been trying to find a web company that will host several small web sites. and thought that we had found the answer with Hosting UK. However, everything is fine as long as there are no problems. As soon as you need help or technical support, then you (or your code) are either blamed or made to feel at fault. I would not recommend this company if you are looking to host web sites using cutting edge or complicated technology.
