WASTE OF MONEY - started a degree in may 07, was told they had 'local exam centres' and can arrange my local college/uni to facilitate the exam. I live in cornwall, my 'local' exam centre was LONDON!! It took over 1 year to prove what I had been promised before they would enlist my local uni to do the exam for me.
the responses from the tutor varied, submitted 1 assessment to 1 tutor (who aparently was sacked shortly afterwards) received a 'G' resubmitted the same one unchanged and got a 2.1. So no consistancy there.
After £7500 in the course fee, £50 per exam Ive only managed to get to module 6 in nearly 3 years. Not a helpful bunch, not prepared to bend in the slightest despite promising the earth to get ur money.
Dont do it please, go to a uni, it will be cheaper in the long run and you get more help

People don't waist your money on ICS courses!!!!I did Event Planning course.I didn't have any help from these people.I was promised to be able to speake with my tutor on the phone if I need help, but just when I paid money and started to study find out that for my course I just can write email to my tutor. But doesn't matter how many emails you'll write you don't get any answer.I spent so a lot of money by calling them and it just feels like you are knocking with your head at the wall.Customer ser ...- Read Guest's review (134 words)

Took the ICS Retail Pharmacy course - passed. And the course is NOT reconized by the OCP (Ontario College of Pharmacists)
What a complete waste of time and money!!!!
If they are a Canadian company, why would they not be aware of such things?
I'm in the process of contacting them for a full refund and have contacted my lawyer.- Read Guest's review (60 words)

AVOID!!!!!!!!!!! I think it depends what you do with ICS but if you do GCSE or A level or anything that involves an external exam board like me the you have to find a centre to do your exam, book it yourself, pay extra for it, find the syllabus, apply for your own coursework. i don't see the point of paying £300 whn ICS do basically nothing, and the staff are rude and unhelpful.- Read Guest's review (74 words)

I just finished my counselling skills diploma with ICS and I had no problem with the customer service and online help. They don't offer practicums which are helpful going into most feild, but if you ask them they will let you set something up with a company. you are responsible for what you take out of it! I would take another program with ics.- Read sharonedith's review (64 words)

DO NOT USE ICS!!!! I signed up for classes and then got into a University so I cancelled. I have gotten 3 different answers reagrding when I will be getting my refund and today I had a supervisor call and say it takes at least 27 days!!!! I got a previous letter saying 7 days and an email from a CSR saying 14 days!! They are completely unfit to handle anything and not worth the time or money to put into these courses.- Read Guest's review (79 words)

ICS is a complete waste of time so don't bother spending your hard earned money.
I am in the middle of a web design diploma with them. I started this in October last year and have nothin but trouble with them. Their customer service line is aweful, the staff do not care how they speak to you and don't try to help you resolve any issues as they seem to put you on hold if unable to answer questions then usually hang up on you so you have no record of their names etc.
I have submitted 2 copies of ...- Read Guest's review (180 words)

I had an awful time with ICS. They quoted the wrong price over the phone and I was consequently billed more than advertised. This may of course have been an honest mistake but the ensuing customer service was so bad it was laughable! They were very hard to get through to on the phone and so I had to conduct a lengthy email discourse.
You would not mind quite so much but there was just no sense of humanity in their approach - you try to be honest and are treated badly. As for the course itself th ...- Read coombesben's review (121 words)

ics is a waste of time and money. the study material which they provide is very low quality.. they are very interested in collecting money from the students rather than providing good service before they invite to join their course..- Read Guest's review (40 words)

ICS are just a money making organisation, they do not care about helping educate people. I enroled to do an A level and it is the worst choice i have ever made. The only polite staff they have are the sales team (because they want your money!!) Other than that the others sound bored , rude and abrupt. My biggest problems have been lack of support, tutors not answering my queries, I will have problems finding somewhere to take my exams. I want to end my course but they will not let me. I cance ...- Read san1234's review (193 words)

I am currently studying for A Level Maths (Edexcel) and A Level Physics (AQA A2450) through ICS. I did a TON of research before choosing any company.
I think a lot of people decide to take an ICS course thinking it will be easier, or as easy as going to school/college. This is not a good reason to take a home-study course as it is certainly NOT easier and I personally feel it is a 'plan B' if you are unable to sit the course through traditional lessons. I am only taking a home study course as t ...- Read EmmaNorton's review (1131 words and 1 comment)

After chatting with the ICS online customer service I received desperate phone calls from that person only to get my account details although I told the person I was not sure about getting registered yet.Couple of days later I cancelled the application and 3 weeks after they took money from my account over £260. Since last week I have been trying to get my money back and it seems it get more difficult evry time I call them as they come up with silly excuses. At the end of the day ICS allows me to work at my own pace and achieve my goals. In my situation earning my grade 12 high school diploma is most satisfying. All these years thinking it would just be too much work ' . I was mistaken so badly it was not funny. UMM '
For myself, I had allot of things going on in my life and at the same time I worked that much harder in any job I had to prove myself. Not to mention raise my kids and provide doing it all on my own.

My course with ICS Learn is going really well at the moment, the help I've received from my tutor has meant that I've got really great marks in several of my assessments. Also the information that I've got from other students in their Student Community has meant that I've got on quickly with every topic I've had to cover.
I'd probably do another course ICS Learn if I had the time and money, think my next course if going to the BA (Hons) Business Management course.

I decided to do 2 A levels through ICS. After spending over £500 i found that i had no support at all once i had received the folders they sent me. I would call to speak to someone, with no response. I really feel i paid all that money for printouts.
Another issue was i had to book and find the exam halls myself. I live in a large city and could find NOWHERE to hold my accountancy A level exam after spending hours searching. I therefore, couldn't do my exams and was a complete waist of ...- Read katie1234's review (104 words)

Let's make it clear, this is in no way a university equivalent course but it gives you a good base for starting a new career for instance (without quoting the school), eventually moving on to a higher degree depending on the course chosen. Anyone with a busy schedule, this is a practical way to go back to school and get extra skills on your own time. Bottom line, work experience will remain the ultimate teacher.- Read electroman's review (136 words)
