Bad Points: I ordered a DVD player from Amazon They posted through Citylink courier service, but City link courier person delivered to wrong address.

Missed the agreed delivery date, did not contact me just did nothing for 3 days, finally left a note at my house but would not leave with a neighbour even though it was agreed with the supplier.

I have been using City Link for well over 3 years now and up to yet I have had not one problem with them. They always turn up on the delivery date and not just that they are friendly too.so i will always use citylink.

I waited in all day for parcel to be delivered by City Link Parcel Delivery Service. At 3pm, went to front door, and found a card saying could not deliver, there was my car parked by front door, a clue that I might be in, back door was left wide open, another clue I might be in?

With 4 different deliveries, City Link Parcel Delivery have failed despite instructions on the package to contact for directions. Each time have stated that there was no-one in and a card was left - I was in on all occasions. I found them to be extremely unprofessional with a slow and ineffectual support staff.
I will now not buy from anybody who uses City-link.

I am based in Edinburgh, and have been expecting a delivery since last Tuesday.The Tracking history on their site indicates three 'Delivery point closed (Carded)' messages, however I received only two notes, both seemed to be simply torn off pieces of paper, with a hand written scrawl 'WE HAVE 2 PARCELS U'.... then the date and time, which incidentally doesn't tally with that of the website. Apparently they have tried to deliver to my address twice and claim to have left a card on both occasions.
The 1st time I was in all day, I was out the second day but still no card was left on either occasion - if they had left one the 1st time I could have phoned and arranges a suitable date for 2nd one.

Apparently they have tried to deliver our item twice and put a card through the door. No card through the door and I have watched the front door all afternoon - no-one came! Driver insists he went to correct address - and had to maneuver our around my neighbours car, that wasn;t there. It would seem also my 2 dogs don't bark at city link drivers! just at everyone else! do not use them - the service I got was terrible!

I've been waiting on a parcel delivered by city link, however, they claimed that they had left it with the neighbours, who weren't home that day either and left a signed card for me. the card did not have a consignment number on it, which they kept asking for when i phoned them. they claimed to have left it with my neighbours who weren't home, and the signature and surname did not match with my neighbours either. when i called the depo they told me to go complain to the mobile phone shop i order ...

This has been a pain since they first tried to deliver the parcel to the wrong address twice, then denied it existed, then wanted us to collect it and then tried to send it back to the company we had bought it from.
I have written to the management but am advised that I am unlikely to receive a reply.
We regularly receive deliveries from other companies and are well aware of a working standard - City Link falls below it in my opinion.

I've personally never had any trouble with City Link, and have used them on more than a few occassions. Living in the Southampton City area, been at two addresses and not had a single problem.
I found this site because I was looking for estimated delivery times, as I was expecting two packages from them today. Given the expense I paid for my delivery, I certainly expected Citylink to at least make an effort. On two occasions, for two seperate packages, their driver seemingly made no attempt to deliver. When the first package was eventually redelivered (after being split into 2 smaller packages), I only received half of it, and a damaged half at that.

At City Link Parcels I never get to speak to speak to a person. Delivery is poor, because I cannot contact them to rearrange delivery they just kept trying to redeliver when I was out at work.
They promised to call me when you leave a message and they never did.
I will not use or buy from companies using CITYLINK again!

I have had a chain of bad experiences with City Link Parcel Delivery Service and no good ones. I live in the Bristol area. Avoid them and pass your complaints back to whoever made the bad decision to use them in the first place. Couldn't deliver at specific times, or even stick within their very wide time bands. My parcel didn't turn up on the specified day. Obviously I had been waiting in for the delivery that day; I left a message with city link and they did call me back. I managed to speak to my local branch, who told me that it delivery had been attempted to a different address! I gave them the correct address and they said the parcel would be re-delivered to me the next day.

City Link provides an automated service when they issue you with a redelivery card. It is the only contact number they provide customers with on the card and, presumably the only option. I used the automated service to arrange a redelivery (even though I was home when they attempted the first delivery.) The automated service took too long, but, in the end it informed me that my parcel would arrive the next day, but they could not give a specific time. I arranged to be home and waited, dutiful ...

Very poor Parcel Delivery Service with City Link. Delivery either at inconvenient times or none at all. They twice failed to card a delivery so I had no proof they had even been to the house. I organised to pick up from their depot and drove all the way there to be told it had been loaded onto a van for redelivery. They couldn't give me an estimated time, so I missed it again they then couldn't re deliver it for five more days.

I made an offer for special delivery and paid 9pounds extra to get my order before 1PM at 15/03/2008 and I didn't received my order at all. So I am really unhappy with City Link's service.

Basically read above, all bad points as bad as each other, the worst thing is that after waiting and waiting, all I ended up doing is paying 15 pounds for special delivery, and then having to go pick up the parcel myself.ADVICE? Don't use this company ever, honestly if i were online buying and learnt that the company uses city link, i would forget ordering the whole thing, because I'd be worried that I'd never actually receive the parcel.
