these pellets are for low powered guns or versatile bb/pellet combo guns. If you get too much power behind these, they will over penetrate and not create that punch that rodents need. The placement of these from my little brother's 66 powermaster was nearly identical to that of a bb, so you can practice with a cheap daisy bb and then hunt very small game with these. just remember that if you are an experienced shooter you may want to go somewhere else because this pellet doesn't fly like any of my other pellets, so i don't use them any more.

Perhaps the most inaccruate pellet in my beeman rs1 .177 barrel.

I find these pretty accurate. From about 20-30 yards i can consistently hit a soda can using the iron sights. However, hunting was a differnt story. I shot this huge bird in a tree with about 20 pumps on my Crosman 2100 which should deliver at least 850 fps. It just twitched its wings and when my friend (using the same pellets) shot it again, if just flew away! I was pretty blown because i was sure i hit it at least. A little while later i shot this little woodpecker about 3 inches tall or so. I ...

I was disappointed with these pellets at first, but with some TLC the have become fine shooters and hunting pellets. Rinsing these pellets with a bit of solvent cleans them up for better handling and accuracy. If you are lucky and get a clean batch, they ought to be fine pellets for their low cost.

I bought the Crosman Copperhead Hunting pellets in .177 because they said hunting on the tin and I wanted to see if I could take a few squirrels. They are totally useless for hunting, unless you get a head shot. I had better hunting results with wadcutter pellets than these pointed ones. I guess that's because the flat heads cause more damage to the animal than the pointed ones, which go right through and leave a relatively small exit wound, leaving the animal to run off and die somewhere later ...

I bought the Copperhead Hunting Pellets on a whim at a local sports store. In my Beeman which fires at 1000+ FPS (breakbarrel) they are useless. In fact, I will not put any more of these pieces of garbage in my gun. Because of their light weight and loose fitting skirts, I sense they could cause damage in high powered spring guns. Thumbs down all the way. Buy Predator hunting pellets instead. You will know where your money went.

I purchased Copperhead Hunting pellets for my Crosman 2100 (.177). Accually, I was rather impressed with them. They weren't very accurate at the full ten pumps, but at 5 pumps, they were absolutely devastating on starlings. With a cheap 4x15 scope I was able to make consistant head shots at around 20-25 yards. The pests dropped without a twitch. They really don't do as good in a high powered rifle though. A pellet that fits tighter in the barrel engages the rifleing better in the Magnum spring g ...

I have tried Copperhead Hunting Pellets in two air rifles and had the same results. One being a tuned Norinco Fastdeer .177, and the other being a Marksman Biathalon .177. The loose fit and average weight provides good velocity, but it is at the expense of some accuracy. At 25 yards (75 feet) my average 4 shot group with them (kneeling) was 2 inches, due to 1 or 2 strays. Same range and position with Gamo Magnum Hunters brought groups under 1 inch CTC easily. At 50 yards there is no competition ...

I bought the Copperhead Hunting Pellets just to break in my new Gamo Spring Piston, but I couldn't believe how much lead dust got on my fingers when handling them, and there were lead shavings in the tin and inside the skirts on many of them.
I wouldn't use them as they were, but I decided to wash them in a dry-film lubricant that uses a solvent that evaporates and leaves a light teflon coating. That took care of the lead dust problem, but it was a lot of trouble for such cheap pellets. Some le ...
