    I can't think of any good points to write about Active24 ... their support is slow and unhelpful, their reliability is sub-par, they're expensive and difficult to move away from and they don't notify you of upcoming important events relating to your domains or hosting. Their control panel is void of any useful features and is illegible. You can't even see the full domain name in their framed list of domains if it's above 12 characters long. Massively unhelpful if you have .coms and .co.uks of the same name... Avoid these like the plague, I'm currently trying to transfer all services away from them.

    Always down. don't answer e-mails et phone.

    Often the server is off. it 's a rsiky project to be a member, Active 24 seems to large and expancive, not suitable for smaller customers.

    Excellent uptime, usually runs fast, reliable POP3/SMTP email, reasonable charges, my year 2 invoice was for less than the year 1 cost. I've hosted my site with active24 for nearly a year now and have been very pleased with them. The one time I had to ring technical support (on a low cost geographical number) a techie gave me accurate info at once. Incoming email comes direct from their POP3 server to Outlook 2003 and outgoing goes via my ISP, Madasafish. No problems so they must have sorted ...

    My website was hacked twice in one week, I feel this is due to the Active24 servers not having all the required security patches. The support team then tried to blame my website, even though mulitiple domains were affected and I proved it was nothing to do with my website I feel.

    Technical Support has been unhelpful I feel, during GMT they are open 9.00 am - 5.00 pm, during BST they are open 9.00 am - 4.00 pm obviously Norway time is different to UK time.
    On top of all that, they are only open Monday to Friday. Their Email Server also very poor I feel, in today's modern world most of us use Email for business, Active 24 don't seem to realise this.     At the best of times I wait one hour for email to come through their servers. Recently we've had email down every monday for the last 3 weeks.
    Personally not happy with Active24.co.uk email service. When I get the chance I will shift away for good. Do not recommend this web hosting provider.

    This service has let us down again. No emails no website and now no support from Active 24. Its time to learn my lesson and move on. Please be warned to all those looking at this company to host your website and emails we have been let down with service but most importunately countless interferences with the service they purport to supply in my opinion. It simply isn't worth the stress with the few pounds you may think you are saving.

    Unhelpful service. In three yeas I had but problems. In my emails with Active24 tool support they blamed me for my poor knowledge in my opinion. Do they know me?

    It took almost 1 year to have it running after problems aothe problems and guess... problems as far as I am concerned.

    Today I set an email account on my domain, guess: it doesn't work! I can send emails out but cannot receive none in as far as I am aware. What is the purpose of that?
    Therefore I do not recommend Active 24.co.uk ...

    Unhelpful in my opinion. I moved from them (once Active24 took over) as their 'tech support' did not appear to understand the database software I needed. However they were still providing my domain name until it expired, then I planned to move it. I have just returned from a trip abroad to find my site down.     Had web hosting & email with vi with no problem. Active24 took over as far as I am aware and everything went pair shaped in my experience. Could not give us a ftp site and took a week to answer emails/phone calls as far as I am concerned. Email is currently down for my entire company and I'm so livid that I'm looking for sites like this to warn people not to use this ISP. Their level of service is not worth the money I am paying in my opinion therefore I do not recommend Active 24..

    I have been very unhappy with Active 24 as I feel their support has been quite poor. All of a sudden I cant ftp to update my website and as far as I am aware, now there is no-one in the support office over the weekend therefore Im finding it very difficult to sort my problem's out with Active 24, therefore I do not recommend this web hosting company.

    My company was hosted by VI.net without problem for many years. Then Active24 took over our account (with out our permission) and the first we knew was no emails. After trying to resolve the problem we contacted VI.net and they informed us that Active24 had taken over our account. Active24 technical department advised but after 2 calls and the best part of a day resetting email names and passwords only 1 email address works.     Do not use these guys! My web site was down for days on end. And i wasn't able to FTP for several weeks: "technical problems" they said. I also found that for 3 whole weeks the email was down. On top of this, i sometimes got invoices for amounts i do not owe. Total incompetence from start to finish. Just stay away from active24!

    This could easily be a good site if they stopped employing people who don't give care and the the managers were taught the meaning of customer service.

    Only use Active 24 if they are the only option - don't expect good support. Some of the techs are OK, but most are a complete waste of time.

    I have tried lots of times to change my account to one of their other "packages", but they wouldn't do that unless I gave up the domain name and re-registered (taking the chance that I lost it). There has been lots of down time, Active 24 customer support don't recognize any problems, and they take way too long to respond. Once they respond, the answer is that they can't help you... I've had it with them!

    This is how Active 24's support works.
    1) They generally ignore your first lot of emails until you persist.
    2) Then they start blaming others, saying how their servers are fine and the fault is else where.
    3) Keep going, finally they will accept the fault is with them and a ticket number will be raised and your query 'really' passed to the support team.
    4) The support team then resolved my email problem but now I can't FTP.
    5) Still awaiting a reply after 2 days now... ...

    Active 24 web hosting can not support their own system. They go offline and don't contact their customers to tell them. When you do contact them, they can not help you because they don't know why the system is down. They only seem to have a handful of customer service staff, who neither have a clue what each other is doing or what they are doing as an individual.
