Good Points: With the seats out makes a good carrying vehicle.
Overall quite comfortable especially the front chairs with arm rests.

General comments: Never achieved higher than 26 mpg in my Hyundai Trajet, underpowered going up hills and when fully laden.
Major corrosion on roof bars. Now starting to experiance problems with brakes & calipers and electrical faults (interior lights & rear tail lift locking mech) heating system never quite right from day 1.
Servicing expensive and not to helpfull.
Not convinced that I would buy another!

Bought car from one owner serviced by Hyundai on 970000, basically ignition coils packed up, front manifold developed a massive crack in it, then today (5th Aug 2007) on 130000 went bang and engine blew up (Formula 1 style) with all the kids in, always looked after the car service wise and has let me down big time.

Much better than the 'experts' would suggest.Fuel consuption is a disaster. On the school run only the Hyundai Trajet 2.0 GSI get 18 mpg.
    Acceleration is leisurely.

Almost six years ownership of the Hyundai Trajet 2.0 GSI from new
A large MPV for the price of a small Ford
    No problems - great reliability
Lots of extras for the money
rear 5 seats removable for acres of space but are heavy and you need space to store 5 seats
35000 miles on a set of tyres

I bought my Hyundai Trajet from new and have owned it for 5 years. It has been probably the most relable car I have ever owned. It is comfortable and well equipped for the price.
The major drawback is that it is a heavy car and the 2 litre engine is just not up to the job of pulling it. A revvy 16valve twin-cam is completely the wrong engine for this type of vehicle. It produces very little torque and climbing even modest hills requires an unusually low gear and screaming revs. High fue ...
