The 4GB Apple iPod Nano has just been released and it is sure to be another world wide hit. The Nano weighs in at an astonishing 42 grams, is 7mm deep (the width of a pencil) and yet can still hold over 1000 songs and play for up to 14 hours on a single charge. You can also read and write reviews of all the different GB iPod Nano.

This is a very good product . It can hold a large number of songs and take many photos on it's memory. The battery does not last that long- but i suppose if u use it for a long period of time the battery will run out . It can also be easily scratched so i advise investing in a cover or case for the ipod.

After the 1st gen Nanos, the 2nd gens had a lot to live up to. The form factor, the sound quality, the software- and they were at least comparable. The first thing that struck me, mine being a re-furb, were the dents in the case. there were plenty, to accompany a cornucopia of scratches. if you are going to abuse the poor thing, you will leave scars. don,t. And of course, the big question for you audiophile types, sound quality? Good, actually! The Stock i Buds will never exceed the i Pod's cap ...

Where do I start? It keeps freezing almost every other day. We did a search and realized that it is a common problem. Tried the recommendations, but that didn't work either. We have resorted to letting the Nano sleep in the freezer, as this is the only thing that helps.

This is the second Nano I have had. The sound is great with a decent pair of headphones, and I love the way it looks, and its ease of use.
Unfortunately the good points are more than outweighed by the bad.
This is the second one I have had that has corrupted, I'm normally very careful about how I connect and disconnect from the pc, but it seems that just blowin on the nano is enough to corrupt it!
I-tunes must take a lot of the blame, it really is a shoddy piece of software.
It works or oft ...

This and most other apple products bought in the EU have a volume limit built into the firmware, this is additional to the volume limit setting you can adjust from the menu of the device. This is the problem folks, most people buy iPods and other MP3 players to listen while running, travelling on a plane or Bus or whatever. These units are so quiet you can hear the wind noise, people chatting and Aeroplane hum whilst the volume is on MAX disturbing your listening enjoyment.
They are fine when y ...

I have really enjoyed using my Apple iPod nano 8GB everyday. I use my iPod daily. The charge only starts to go down quickly when you use the games. this has plenty of space for lots of music and photos. Fully recommend.

Just an awesome bit of kit. Nothing compares to it. Shaped well, looks great and has a very bright, colour screen. Before now I have used it as a torch to get from one end of the bedroom to the other! The click wheel is great. Everything is done just right, once again apple, you have made a fantastic product, that loads of people have and know. If someone says to you "Oh yeah, I've got my iPod today" that sounds normal. If someone says "Oh yeah, I've got my Samsung YP-Z5A today" it doesn't sound ...

I am talking about the old iPod Nano which I personally think is better than the new one. I got my 2 gb Nano for my birthday and was very impressed with the finish on it when it came out of the box. I went to the computer and put in the upload disk. I had to install iTunes which would normally annoy me but I find iTunes much easier to use than windows media player. my iPod screen broke somehow and I don't know how so I have now got a MMC for my phone and use that for my music. I would still reco ...

I really really appreciate the coming of the iPod or any of the memory storage on board today because I knew it is going to end up that way. I am beginning to think of which other media storage is going to be out next, I don't think there will be something better than the iPod or any other memory storage device. If there is any bad point for me I don't think so. It is portable, produces good sound, stores more than enough music, just how you want it. So if there is any bad point it should be whe ...

I really love my iPod nano, I'm currently learning how to download music, photo's etc and reckon for people like myself who use it on a fairly regular basis it's ideal.
Definitely recommend. :-)

Before I start, I'd like to make it clear that this review is about the old iPod Nano and not the new one as shown in the picture.
I got my first mp3 player for Christmas in 2005. Around this time I really started getting into music, namely Radiohead, and thought it a good idea to get an mp3 player to replace my knackered old radio that I'd been using for the passed year or so.
I looked around a little, a few months before Christmas, and decided that the iPod Nano was the mp3 player for m ...

Have both the first generation Apple iPod Nano (4gb) and now the new metal 4gb one. Both are great however the old Nano has about an hours battery life and the new one really does seem to have 24 hours. First one was covered up due to the horror stories about the screen and scratches. The new one isn;t and seems to resist scratches fine. The first one came with reasonable headphones and I really appreciated the good quality sound and fit ( a far cry from some serious money headphones but still ...

The new iPod nano is absolutely fantastic. One of the first thing I noticed when I took it out of apples brilliant new packaging was the sleek design. The new rounded style makes it much more comfortable to hold and it doesn't need cleaning every time you use it (like the old style nano which was a fingerprint magnet with its glossy design).
The new scroll wheel is fantastic too, it looks a lot nicer, probably because of the concave style 'select' button. It feels comfortable to press as it ...

It is a very nice piece of kit, but i realized that it isn't for me. The memory is good but not enough for people with lots of music. Many people buy the 40gb or the 60gb and then transfer their whole music collection on to it. The shop i got it from were understanding and replaced it with no problems. But the reliability was a problem as i also used it as a hard drive, so when it froze the work was inaccessable. Overall they are very popular and they are cool to have, although Sony and other ma ...

I agree, I updated my iPod and the songs automatically vanished. I made the same mistake twice and regretted it as I lost over 800 songs and had to put all of them back on to the darn machine. What's worse it that iTunes wouldn't even recognize the machine so I had to do the setup and all the procedures again. I suggest that you don't update your iPod and stick with it the way it is, otherwise you're going to end up feeling like a complete idiot. Other than that I have no other complaints except ...

I received this mp3 player as a gift 3 weeks ago. I really love it because it's tiny, it easily fits in your wallet or purse and has enough space. I don't know how anyone can use 2GB of music - maybe if you're on the road for days and want to listen only to the music on your iPod. The only thing that I don't like is the battery that lasts for 2 days utmost. Besides that I can't complain - it's a wonderful gadget to be used anywhere. Enjoy!

I have owned a couple of MP3 players before, but I always steered clear of the iPod for some reason. I got the impression Apple were a very faceless company who cared more about looks than performance.
A friend of mine let me try out his 30Gb iPod and I was very impressed with the sound quality. And a few weeks later I had a look on the Apple website and saw a new Nano had been released which had a bigger memory and a much more impressive battery life than any other model had had before. I th ...
