Good Points: Efficient service. Good sized portions. Good quality of food.
Bad Points: Although there were side plates on the table, no bread basket was brought and I didn't see an option on the menu to order a bread basket so I don't know if we just missed it or if the waiter forgot to bring it?
General comments: We went to Alberts Shed on a recommendation and found it very nice indeed.
The restaurant is set out nicely with very comfortable chairs and lots of space around you.
We were seated and our drinks order taken straight away and whilst we looked at the menu we ordered a Rosemary and Chili Pizza Bread to be going on with.
For starters I ordered the Duck Liver and Port Pate and my Husband ordered the Ribs. Both were nice but this is where we missed the bread basket as my Husband needed bread to mop up the sauce from the ribs and I ran out of toast for my Pate.
For our main meals we ordered Steak Diane and Pork Belly, both of which were very nice and plenty to fill you up. We also liked the fact that in with the cost of your Main Meal you can chosse any 2 side dishes, I ordered Chunky Chips and Creamy Leeks topped with Parmasean and my husband ordered the Spring Onion Mash and a Rocket Salad.
All in all we found Alberts Shed to be very pleasant, enjoyable and not too expensive at all and although it is a 20 minute drive for us we will be going again as there is the added bonus that they do have a car park.

The Calamari at Albert's Shed was layer upon layer of lemon and the churning of the ice-cream somewhat inconsistent, keep up the good work boys but there's still a long way to go.

Located next to Duke's 92 in Castlefield, Albert's Shed is a lovely little Italian restaurant with a mouth-watering menu and pretty decent prices. I wanted to go out for pizza somewhere I'd not tried before and my other half found some good reviews of this fairly new Manchester eatery on the internet. It's a modern looking restaurant with a decent wine list, a pretty varied range of dishes from traditional pizzas to the ever trendy hoisin duck and sweet chili chicken ones, alongside the usual ...
