Good Points: Accurate and consistent when used with decent optics. Nice fit and finish of components. Lightweight and portable (I like this) as opposed to my other (more expensive) airguns with wood stocks (almost 9 lbs).
Bad Points: Supplied with garbage scope and rings. Get fixed sights.
General comments: I purchased this Gamo Shadow .22 rifle because it seemed a good deal. I found one (.22 cal) on sale for less that $100 US. This particular package included and illuminated scope but no fixed sights. OK, no problem.
But wait! In trying to sight in the scope initially at about 30 ft, I could not get the elevation up to zero or horizontal zero closer than 6 inches to the left of point-of-aim. The scope mounts appear to mount it slightly canted to the right and they are not adjustable for lateral correction. Also, the crosshair adjustments did not seem to work correctly or consistently.
I was a bit disappointed in the scope and mounts but noticed that the off-zero groups were very tight.
I took an old Daisy Powerline 4x32 scope from another rifle and put it on. After about 5 shots I had it zeroed (at least at that range) and was printing 3-5 shot groups that touched.
Conclusion. It is a great gun if you use a decent scope. Accurate and powerful enough for target and small game.
But, do yourself a favor and get the package with fixed sights and pick up your own scope if you need one. I am going to throw the included piece of junk scope and mounts in the garbage.

I bought the Gamo Shadow .22 three months ago. I scoped it with the Tasco Worldclass 3-9x32 rifle scope. I tried several pellets e.g RWS superpoint, hobby. H&N match, Gamo match and several local pellets but the Gamo Promagnum pellet suited it the most. With the Gamo Promagnum pellet I got the best groups. I recommend the Promagnum Pellet for the Shadow 1000. The Gamo Shadow 1000 is my forth airgun, it has a great value for money and it has many good points like its price. The Truglo sigh ...

Overall I like the Gamo Shadow Supreme .22 cal. The only thing I don't like is the trigger. It is a 2 stage with the 2nd stage adjustable. It still has way too much creep for my liking. I guess I am just spoiled by the Beeman triggers. I would like to get a GTX trigger for it but he is out of business. If anyone knows where I can pick one up let me know.
I have fired around 300 shots and it seems to be breaking in nicely. I shot 3 shot groups with 20 different pellets to see which it liked the ...

Purchased the Gamo Shadow Supreme in 22 cal, rifle came with a BSA 4x32 scope (not AO though). After cleaning all the shipping grease out of the barrel had the rifle/scope shooting dime sized groups out to 20 yards within 20 minutes. Light recoil and a very comfortable rifle to shoot. I have the shadow in 177 cal., which I love, but I was amazed at the accuracy and punch of the 22. This rifle is really enjoyable to shoot. I tried RWS Super Hollow points, Crossman premier hollow points, Beema ...

I have a S1K in .177 and was very pleased with it. Its seems very accurate and everything you want from a rifle that cost $118. Its a very nice tool for informal shooting.
I noticed that Compasseco Inc. had a sale on a Shadow Supreme in .22 for $115. I was just thinking if it was as good as the S1k and in .22 I got to have one. Me and couple of other Air rifleman from our club each bought one. It seems to be the same rifle as the S!k with some minor improvement a higher scope rail, and cock ...

I exchanged my Shadow 1000 for this Shadow Supreme .22 in order ro take care of varmints. It causes more damage and kills more quickly (more humanely), and shot placement is not as essential as in the .177.
The effective range is actually as good as the .177 with good pellets (JSB Exacts) I guess due to the heavier pellet weight, and it also seems to have tighter groups at 50 yards than the .177, I think because the wind doesn't affect the .22s as much.
All in all, although the Gamo Shadow 100 ...
