Good Points: Very efficient service
Bad Points: Very bad acoustics - booming dining hall atmosphere makes it hard to have a conversation with fellow diners. Smaller portions and One-Pot Massala menu.
General comments: It was a shame to visit the Goa Balti restaurant after good recommendations, to feel that we were in an overpriced school dining hall with virtually no ambiance and no music! The food was above average, but small portions of what seemed like a one-pot massala - general sauce that was mostly red in everything.

The chef is quality. It is the best Indian food I have ever tasted. The restaurant is huge, and they have some good staff. It's worth the 15 mile drive we have to make to get to the Goa Balti in Eversleigh.

We've tried various Indian restaurants in Hampshire and Wiltshire, but always find the chicken tough or watery and the sauce thin and awful. At the Goa Balti the portions are slightly smaller than average, but far richer and full of flavour. Naan breads obviously home-made and the best I've ever tasted! We had starters as well as mains, and felt it was too much, unless you are very hungry! Interesting fact - the chef apparantly used to be chef to a Saudi Arabian sheik!
