    Good Points: The rooms and breakfast are great. The hurricane was very exiting.


    Bad Points: Hurricane meant that the pool was closed.


    General comments: My wife and I had our honeymoon at the Bahia Principe, we found this to be a fantastic resort, that we didn't want to leave, even when forced to by our tour operator. I should explain, we stayed here for a week with fantastic service, great food, a lively nightlife and a great beach too. However 8 days into our holiday, we received a letter through the door warning us that hurricane Jean would pass over the Dominican Republic in less than 10 hours. Unfortunately, the hurricane had changed track and neither the hotel or tour operator could have foreseen this. After a rather exiting 2 days we were offered an emergency flight home with a full refund, however as it was our honeymoon, neither of us relished the thought of a return home, so after an argument with our rep who advised us otherwise we stayed.
    After the clean up, which the staff took about a day to complete, we found that we were in an almost deserted resort and had the best time ever! I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to savour the Caribbean on a budget.
    Look out for del boy on the beach, he sells para-sailing, waterskiing, banana boat rides and will make your dread-lock holiday come true!

    We stayed there for 14 days and it was very beautiful. We are going back next year, and this is the third time we have been now. It's lovely.

    The staff at the Bahia Principe Hotel in the Dominican Republic are very good. The management are great. Customer service is brilliant, but the food is not the best.

    Superb,having been 4 times to Bahia Principe hotels (San Juan twice ,Tenerife twice) we were by no means let down. This is their newest and best Hotel. Food the best I've ever had in 9 All Inc holidays.
    Beach, food ,pools (5 all with swim up bars) proper drinks such as Smirnoff etc . lovely rooms .Only let down was mobile was stolen but from room???? We don't know.but this is the only down point , so if you go put as valuables in the safe----as we did not....but we could have genuinely lost it. ...
