    Bad Points:


    General comments: Hotel in semi- rural location with good views, has an olde world charm. Cooked breakfast tasty but you will pay extra for the privilege. More of a guest house than Hotel. Rustic charm wears a bit thin after a couple of days and smacks of lack of investment. Continental breakfast is very basic. Rooms are of a decent size but tired. Bathroom wasn't pleasingly clean. Children are tolerated through gritted teeth by owner, who makes no effort with guests who don't conform to his personal idealism. Mealtimes are a definite problem for couples with children here. Guests with families who don't conform to a 6.30/7pm bedtime, will end-up eating elsewhere with their children. We won't be going again.

    Location of Gwynedd Porth Tocyn Hotel - out of this world!Food - excellentMicroclimate - unbelievable - or we are always very luckyThe whole operation is geared towards making for a relaxed break, with fine food (and good wine) and a very positive attitude to well behaved children.

    If visiting Abersoch this would be our first preference. Family friendly hotel. Staff were friendly.Owner was very attentive and connected with guests. Many large families with children and grandparents in tow as well at breakfast.

    Do not consider going to the beautiful Porth Tocyn Hotel unless you only have 2.4 children, as the owner will consider you an unbalnced family (his exact words)
