Good Points: Accuracy, design and built to last, ease of cocking, and virtually no recoil.

Bad Points: No dry firing mechanism.

General comments: Due to its design simplicity and manufacture quality, the Feinwerkbau 600 gun is built to last a lifetime (easily two lifetimes in my opinion). The only thing you need to replace is the rubber seals when it wears out. The fit and finish is superb, especially the bluing. It is not just because the bluing is match grade, but also it is very deep bluing. It reminds me of an expensive paint job on a car that exceed the paint job that came from the factory when the car is new. The new FWB P700 got away from this type of bluing, instead the barrel is now bare metal, and the paint that is on the butt stock area is sprayed on! Yes, you guess it; it is to lower manufacturing cost. I noticed two differences in the FWB 600 compare to the FWB 601. First, the 601 has a locking latch on the cocking arm. You cannot accidentally push out the cocking arm because of this latch, but I never accidentally push the cocking arm out, thus I don't gain anything from it. It made the gun more complex (more parts to fix), and it force me to disengage this latch every time I want to cock the gun. In a 60-shot match, this is a pain. Second, the 600 requires that your return cocking stroke is one continuous stroke. You cannot stop in the middle of the return stroke to rest. The 601 allow you to stop. Some people like this, because it allows them to rest. I don't need to rest, because the FWB 600 is so easy to cock (easiest of all pneumatic 10-meter air rifles I've tried). I can see this feature been an advantage in the FWB 602, because it is hard to cock a 602. Also this mechanism adds to the complexity of the gun. Like they said, complexity is directly proportional to lower reliability. I don't understand why the 600 is so easy to cock, because it shoot around 175 m/s (570 fps) like most other 10-meter air rifles. The only other Match 10-meter rifle that is easier to cock is the FWB 300S, but the 300S is NOT a pneumatic. The difference in cocking effort between the 600 and 300S is slight. If the current 10-meter air rifle is this easy to cock, most 10-meter shooters will not bother with PCP. Why deal with a scuba tank, adapters, getting refills, and worry about getting air in a competition, because you cannot carry charged air tank into an airplane.
