Sealed around brake servo (mastic had dried out and leaking) , yet still leaks around drivers door seal. All drain holes are clear and speaker is sealed.. Looks as if the inner door lining is non-standard also (i guess been off before we bought it) Not fit for purpose, a terrible smell, musty and no longer the joy to own as it was originally… Read Full Review

I love the look of my car Tigra Sport 1.4 and it's nice to drive but oh have I had so many problems. First 3 months the button to the roof fell off, the drivers window fell through the door, clutch pedal popped. The accelerator pedal fell of 3 times, the roof got stuck half way up, 2 new parts to make the roof work and now the boot has broken and my carpets are wet plus thick frost inside and lots of condensation. This is my 2nd Tigra. I owned my previous Tigra,a 2006 model, for nearly 3 years and it was taken in to Vauxhall 8 times for a leak in the boot. The guys were baffled and couldn't find the cause of the problem. Eventually I was told that as I parked on a sloping drive, I should reverse on the drive to avoid rain getting in the boot! (This actually worked).
I then asked for a replacement car and was promised that my current car had belonged to a friend of the salesman who had never had a… Read Full Review

we bought our 1.8 sport tigra in October 09 to replace our old tigra. We are really pleased with it and were very surprised at the size of the boot even when the roof is down.
The only problem we had was that it leaks on the drivers door - we were told that it was to do with the speakers not being fitted properly. On invistigation we have found that the top part of the door seal was not "tucked"into the bottom part -this is about eye level on the door frame. Hopefully we have now cured… Read Full Review

In the nearly four years I've had the car from new I've had no faults at all. No mechanical problems, no leaks. Maybe I've been lucky. It isn't a sports car, but offers with the top down is fun to drive and looks good. With the top up I suppose it is just a less practical Corsa!… Read Full Review

Having owned the Tigra for only a couple of weeks, im having problems with the boot leaking. The boot matt is saturated every time i open it, also condensating in the cabin is occuring which is leading me to believe it is leaking in their too. Purchased from Vauxhall so will be phoning them now.
All of your reviews have been great help guys!… Read Full Review

I purchased a 2007 Vauxhall Tigra Exclusiv on the 17 July, 2009, with 9 months to run on the "Manufacturers Warranty", and given another year Network Q Warranty. Just before Christmas 2009 I developed a water leak behind the driver's set, which soaked the carpet. Upon taking it to my dealer, where I purchased the car, they explained that the sills were full of water, they drained them, and also told me the water was getting in because the speakers had not been sealed in the door properly!!!!… Read Full Review

My wife bought a Tigra new in March 2005. We've had no mechanical problems with the car currently on 49,000mls but we've kept it off the road for 2 months because of two problems.
1. Nearside front indicator bulb keeps blowing. The couple of times i've tried to replace it has now resulted in the internal fiiting in the headlamp coming loose and the local garage (not Vauxhall dealer) say's it will need a new headlamp at over £250 + vat!!
2. The drivers door 'dumps' water on the drivers arm when… Read Full Review

I LOVE my Tigra, but the driver side carpet is completely soaked through. I've taken out and washed the mats, but that revealed the soaked carpet underneath. The car now stinks of damp. There is a similar patch in the boot. What would you recommend I do first? Contact Dealership where I purchased? It was nearly a year old when I bought - an ex demo model.
I'd be so grateful for advice. Neil… Read Full Review

Not the most reliable car in the world. If you don't mind spending lots of money on the most expensive parts of the car which fail, then buy this car! If you want trouble free motoring buy a Honda Jazz! Or Old Yaris!
I did like the Air con - good on very hot days and the electrics! The electric roof and boot are still working! It is nice to have a convertible in the spring, summer and autumn. And of course the car looks good!
I would have liked to know what faults there are with these… Read Full Review

I bought my Tigra three years ago - great colour and was a joy to drive. The problem is after a heavy rain storm I am greeted to sodden carpet and a quarter of an inch of rain in the driver foot well. The car has been returned to Vauxhall for the last three years and they seem to be baffled. Any advice ???? A joy to drive. A nightmare when in freezing as you have to remove the ice from the window both inside and outside. Not nice… Read Full Review

I recently bought my Tigra 1.4 and I love it. My Tigra is in the best colour (Antigua Blue) which looks lovely and sporty. It has the Irmscher body kit which looks awesome. It's a real head turner. The hood works really well with no leaks and looks fantastic. I feel the power is enough for me, and still cheap to insure and tax. I have heated leather seats which is really nice in the evenings by the seaside! I thought the stereo would be quiet as my old car had a really good stereo but this is… Read Full Review
