I bought the Gamo Hunter Maxima 2 days ago and am very happy
This gun is not for the faint hunter, I have shot a crow in mid flight and it droped straight out of the sky. I also had a pheasant at about 40 yards got the head shot and it dropped.
they say that the (silencer on the end) is a silencer but reaLly it's a breaking handle which makes it easier to cock the gun and does not have any silencing capabilities as the gun is spring shot and cannot be silenced.

I purchased the Gamo Maxima Combo from Cabelas. This model has the 4-12 x 40mm AO scope and a laser that mounts to the underside of the muzzle. I was going to go with the Shadow line, but once you see and feel the Hunter series, if you have the money, it's the logical choice. But realize all of the Gamo guns that shoot 1000fps probably have similar internal features so you're basically just paying more for design, wood stock, scope, etc.
