Ever since I was 14 I have been very self conscious of the hair I have on my upper lip. I tried waxing - red bumps and pimples and until now bleaching - which just made the hair blonde and has now given me a darker pigmentation. After researching I found epicare, first I bought the ebay version which was a bad idea - mostly breaks the hairs. I bought a genuine epicare and it is great!! It works like a charm and is so cheap!! I don't have to feel uncomfortable around anyone anymore and I... (read more)

I tried the cheaper brand and was very disappointed. I then bought the original Epicare online at yafyufbeauty.com and was extremely happy. Epicare pulled even the finest hairs off my face giving me a clean and smooth feeling. I also got a deal of 2 epicares for $30 on their site and was very happy! (read more)

I loved it!! I have very coarse and thick hair, especially on my chin area, the Epicare removed most of the hair (although it took a very long time) and I had no issues with bumps or rashes. Any hair I did not get with the Epicare I just used tweezers on. The products felt like it was ripping hair by hair (painful), but it actually grabbed several at once from the root. Great for sensitive skin and its cheap! (read more)

This is the best beauty item i have ever bought! After having my baby i grew ALOT of facial hair which was making me extremely self concious. I would avoid making eye contact when talking to people as i was paranoid people were staring at my facial hair and it was getting to the point i was making excuses to avoid leaving the house.
This product is brilliant. I have sensative skin and have found it completely pain free to use with minimal redness afterwards. After waxing i have more or less...

I curse the day when I got the idea to even try this product. It had absolutely wrecked my skin. I use dit in October 09 and my skin still has little white bumps and blemishes and older bumps with black centre on it. I hate that it has ruined my skin and these days I am wary to even tie my hair back. The breakouts are on my cheek, outer area of the facce and bit of forehead. I can't afford a dermatologist, so i a pray and hope the skin will exfoliate naturally and get cured. Lesson learnt... (read more)

Like many others, i was sceptical about the effectiveness of this product before i had tried it. Instead of purchasing the real epicare from the website, i thought i would go for the cheap alternative 'facial hair removal stick' on ebay, which at 99p i had nothing to lose. When i tried out the product, i was so amazed! it works extremely well, and is barely painful at all. I also have sensitive skin, so redness after use is inevitable, but this lasted a few hours and did not cause any... (read more)

I ordered the epicare around last year in the fall or early winter and i was very skeptical as whether it will work but to my suprise it did. obviously it did not make my face extremely smooth like waxing but it did the job it remove most of my hair and it gave the illusion that my face was smooth. so i will say that it took at least 65% of my hair off. for the other parts of my face i used a tweezer, i used it under my chin and i think it made the hair thicker because it was pulling the... Very good product ideal alternative to shaving and cremes ect, I was using a hair buff away system before, which after a while left a little stubble, the epicare does not, I used a cheaper version of the epicare before purchasing the real thing and I have to say, what a difference the cheaper one removed some hair but only snapped most of it, compared to the real one which takes a bit of getting used to, to get all the hair but it workes :)

Epicare Facial Hair Threader is the best type of hair removal ever!
it is a little bit pain full but then again what isn't? to look good you have to go through at least a little pain. IT EVEN MASSAGES YOUR FACE, now isn't that cool? (everything in 1). Best of all you could use it any time you want even when you're watching tv.

It definitely works and it is much less painful than waxing. Plus, it doesn't damage my skin, so I'm very happy!
I just couldn't handle getting another facial waxing - it is so harsh and it literally rips my skin off! Epicare is very gentle and I'm happy I finally found the solution.

The Epicare Facial Hair Threader is quick and removes more hair than tweezing and much quicker too. My hair is quite light and so I often used to miss some hairs. Epicare threader removes ones I didn't even know were there! There was no mess like waxing and no pinched skin like tweezing.
Very good value for money, once you get the technique right you're fine!

I have sensitive skin so alot of products are a no go for me. Plucking/bleaching is so time consuming and waxing is too much of an irritant so i decided to give the epicare a go.
It pulls hair from the root and unlike plucking, it takes several hairs in one go so is really quick. It takes me about 1-2 minutes to remove all the hair from my upper lip compared to plucking which takes about 5-10. Like all hair removal, it hurts, so i use it after a bath. It does hurt more than plucking as more...

It's painful. It just RIPS at your hair-- it doesn't take hair out at the root. hair grows back STRONGER- And hair grows back straight away.It does what tweezers do, but tweezer do it better. It works as a spring trapping hair. Because of this t's hard to trap hair so you end up having to remove it hair by hair. PAINFUL. I was looking for some new. I can't wax because it damages my skin *I am 20 btw so no I dont have wrinkly skin!! I was fed up using bleaching cream because it takes for... (read more)

This removes hair better than waxing, but it's PAINFUL as hell. This is coming from someone who doesn't think tattoos aren't that painful. The Epicare Facial Hair Threader works well on ALL facial hair! I am saving so much money compared to waxing, and it is so much healthier/safer than hair removal creams! I am incredibly satisfied with this product's results.
I have VERY sensitive skin, so it was a bit painful and red right after on my upper lip, but the redness soon subsided and now my skin looks great!
I LOVE IT!

I`m now onto my second Epicare threader - I've worn out the first, but it lasted for 9 months of daily use. I still think it's BRILLIANT! I've never endorsed anything before but this really deserves it. Depilatories burned holes in my skin before they touched the hair and, because it's dark, I could never let it grow enough to wax so I was stuck with endless plucking. I bought mine from www.epicare.co.uk they have a video demo that shows hows it works and must add the service was terrific!... (read more)

I decided to give Epicare Facial Hair Threader a try and I am so very glad I did! I had never really liked doing the waxing because my face sags enough as it is, but had to do something to deal with the 'mutton chops' I got after menopause. This is an answer to a prayer for me. I have told all my friends and family about it and will never be without one again. Just a word of caution - be very sure you have your hair contained before you start or it's coming out too! This is a GREAT product!! I'm an Asian woman and have tried everything under the sun to get rid of the shadow on my upper lip, cheeks and chin. When the hair grows back after using the Epicare Facial hair Threader, is it stubbly?
Written on: 07/09/2008
I've been using Epicare for the last 4 years and it has not made my hair grow back any thicker. In fact, I have noticed that my hair is becoming sparser and sparser (is there such a word?) Just like when you keep tweezing your eyebrows for years and years, until the hairs hardly grow back anymore. Epicare is so easy to use.

I found this review very helpful because I wished I had read it earlier. I have very sensitive skin and tend to be acne prone. So using Epicare caused my skin to break out in spots which took quite a while to clear up.
