I have just moved home and tried to cancel my phone and broadband I spent 45mins on phone looks like when you wont to leave they dont bother to answer and keep you hanging on in the hope you will hangup when i got to custaner services he informed me that i would have to pay £30 pound to cancel this is a company that will try and rip you off company like this should be shut down and not let advertise the bull.... on tv on how good the custmer service is… Read Full Review

The only good thing about plus net is their advertising , until they have got your contract signed they bend over backwards and it is down hill all the way after that. Playing with the "contention ratio" is their favourite game and being unable to change the date of your direct debit is another way of "conning" another £1.50 out of their customers allegedly they have tooo many customers to be able to change the direct debit date,try telling that to any other multinational especially as plus… Read Full Review

“wifi not working after 3 weeks”

Ordered WiFi a month ago, was told it would he activated on the 9th July, this got changed to 14th. 14th came about, router didnt work, said there was a faulty bunch sent out by accident, sent us out a new one. After a week, had to ring again cause they forgot to send one out. Router came today and WiFi still not working. Got told it was high resistance and nothing to do with 'faulty' routers. I thought I had bought a phone / broadband package with weekend calls, only to find the weekend calls option removed (without explicit warning). Customer support were friendly but essentially confirmed that the package was 'incompatible' with the deal I had purchased. OBVIOUSLY this should have been made apparent during the sales process. Maybe they're a victim of their own success? It takes SO LONG to get through to customer support. 50 minutes on the phone (I gave up twice) and half an hour on their chat line, that is too bad. And they must have a low standing with Openreach, for issues with the line (again and again) are put on hold for a week, despite that I told them Openreach had caused the line to break when they were up the pole outside our house. I would say Plusnet are great. Been with them now a number of years and on the odd occasion I had slow speeds they were onto it and sorted it withinn 48 hours. I have recommended them to a couple of friends, they swapped over to Plusnet with no issues and have been happy with the service. Tried to switch to Plusnet, paid upfront but they never managed to provide me with a service despite me having to chase them several times to find out what was happening. Requested call backs from managers which I never got. I moved to BT from PlusNet in August 2013 and plusnet secretly and without my permission /knowledge continued to draw Direct Debit monthly charges for over 18 months until January 2015 when I discovered they had charged me at least £340. plus a debt collection payment of £90.00p ,totalling over £430 after I had left them. then set a Debt collection agency on me 3 weeks after I asked for what the payments were for?. I've been with them for five years now, in a very remote village area, and I have to say, their service is among the best I've experienced. The only negative is the long call-wait time for customer service (usually from 5-15 minutes), but once you do get through, their advisers are great. This was the worst phone and broadband service I have ever had. I would not recommend them to anyone. They are unhelpful and rude. When I moved house I cancelled and they made me pay the full amount for the remainder of the contract which was £130. When I objected the threatened me with debt collectors and their telephone manner was harsh. All the other service providers, gas, electricity etc. had no charge if you were moving home. Was thinking to change from sky because the price, but after choosing what kind of broadband and telephone service I want it happens sky is better value than PlusNet. “bunch of robbers don't take internet with them”

it took them 2 months to set up my broad band and phone ,i payed up front. they were told on 2 occasions to go to a different address to collect a key for access , but did not listen, and now when i was a way at christmas i missed a direct debit , only one ,the next thing i get a letter from debt collectors £159, i phone and pay that very second , turns out i owed only £20 i ask plus net why so much to debit collectors and they don't really seem to know , plus net have cancelled my account… Read Full Review

I paid £23.00 a month for 3meg (intermittent at best). Got charged £136.00 upon them cancelling my account even though I was happy to pay monthly at the rate they had provided me with. They appear to be the cheapest but despite assurances in writing from the customer services team about charges, the charges were not what was promised to me and then it was extremely lengthy to get any answer to my questions.
