“Good if you don't want safeguard”

I moved to plusnet from talk talk, much better service except for one important aspect. Talk talk's website blocking service was excellent, safeguard provided as part of the plusnet package does absolutely nothing. I have not found a single dodgy website it will block, so if you have children and want to block content do not choose plusnet, if blocking content is not important to you then I would recommend them… Read Full Review

I have been a customer of PlusNet on 2 occasions, and never have I had a problem with the connection or speed. The current issue I have is their SafeGuard service does not work well. This is the setting you can change to block certain categories of website, or particular websites. An online chat failed to rectify this, and I await a resolution. What a disgraceful service. Tried to speak with someone yesterday a.m and was kept hanging on for 45 minutes and still no human response. Tried chat line who advised that they could not get anyone to talk to me!! Eventually got through to someone and cancelled my contract (at a price) Today I am told I owe more money as my direct debit has not gone through!! Repeat performance of yesterday. I have just switched broadband supplier from Sky due to their prices increasing. Firstly, the date of my service going live changed but it wasn't until I called them to find out why it was late that I very spookily received an email from them informing me. I signed up with plusnet about a year ago now. I have no complaints with them after being on TalkTalk for a few years. Our phone was doing a lot of crackling soon after the sign up which I brought to their attention and oh how sweet to hear a good English voice at the other end, which was so willing to help out with the problem. Signed up for the 1500 minutes calls unlimited texts and 4GB data for £10 month . Rang up got put through to an English call centre was half expecting somewhere in the middle east :) anyway recommend i cap my monthly charges so set it at lowest £2 month as i'm a bit of a skinflint don't want any bills over £12 month :) For the price great value internet speed very fast (last network was signed too ran on 02 which was so slow 4G pish poor).Plusnet think runs on EE has good signal… Read Full Review

Signing up with Plusnet was a choice which we now regret. Full of Trust that Plusnet would be our best choice after being with Talktalk-we disliked their (Overseas Call Service for Cust/service) assured of Local Cust/service we felt assured of our choice. I went with them for cable and phone package for anytime, after a month the bill went up nearly £9, queried that and was told it was a charge for mobile calls which I don't use, asked them to remove it. Can't do that as it's part of your contract. Fine so I told my wife ring your mates mobiles after all I.m paying £9/month for it. The bill has come in for this month and it's £73.00. B.S Plusnet is capped to £10 a month over your set plan this can be reduced to £2 a month :P

“Diabolical Web Mail and Customer Service”

I am absolutely appalled that I can't ever get through to anybody in authority other than the call centre staff. Over the last six months I have had to contact Plusnet about the terrible service that I was getting. I upgraded to fibre with lots of hassle but in the end the internet speed is much better. Fake review are just plain stupid ,no one in their right mind would pay for "up to 76mbs" fibre boadband which Plusnet offer and only get 9mbs ADSL speed which this reviewer claimed to get :P

I have been plusnet customer for over 3 years. Recently they upgraded to optic fibre in my area. the day they were to upgrade, plusnet was going to send me new hub, although upgrade went ahead and new hub never arrived, after calling them we were told that company had upgrade too early and new should with us in next 24 hours, 3 days later been told we have sent another hub, no internet for 3 days, I have kids suppose to be doing exam revisions, I am recovering after brain surgery. we are told… Read Full Review

“Rubbish”

These people constantly take "extra money" for apparent use outside of allowance. We have to constantly call them and challenges the extra charges, which are always refunded as they are always unjustified. This is presumably how they make their money, by creaming off small sums from a large number of people.
