Firstly, this company's service is appalling. When you phone you wait ages to get through. When you eventually get through the staff do not really listen to your problem. I have contacted them on two occasions and each time feel I have been fobbed off. On the first occasion I contacted because Plusnet had cut off my services on the day my payment was due. I'm with a supplier who helped me set everything up properly and give proper service. Plusnet just felt a bit rubbish in comparison. I feel like they were bad because of how cheap they make everything. I heard an advert for their free broadband last week and all the T&Cs talked about traffic management etc - so i got what I paid for. It seems the only way to get help from Plus net is by telephone as they do not give out their E Mail address. The telephone service is very poor as most of the time you have to wait 30 minutes or more to speak to any one. My broad band is only half the speed of my sons who is with BT. I was promised installation on 11th of April, I was then told it would be postponed for a week. If they had of told me that from the outset there is a good chance I would not have placed the order. Not a good way to start a relationship by kid selling a product. They refused to compensate me for the time or the inconvience, the only complaints procedure they have is online which is no good if you have not got internet. Changed to plusnet because it sounded like a great deal, £20 a month as opposed to £50 with my existing supplier plus a £50 cashback. Although I was told that the change over from my previous supplier would be seamless that was not the case. After a call to tell PlusNet i'm moving home in 5 days, not a decision me or my partner want but we do need to. As expected, we cannot get fibre optic in the new area. I was offered a low 1-1.5mg speed at the new address for £1 less than what im paying for fibre optic. of course, im not going to continue paying over the odds for next to no internet. at this point I was told I can cancel the whole contract for £210.45 and start again as a new customer and get the next 18 months for free. fed… Read Full Review

The adverts may portray that Plusnet understand customer service, however the reality is very different. Wait times of over 40 minutes are typical when calling customer services. Systemically poor service, ill thought out processes and rude poorly trained staff… Read Full Review

Terrible company to have to deal with. I've had no working phone for 9 weeks now. I've lost count how many times I've tried to contact them to resolve. The website is really difficult to report a fault to them and the chat online service is robotic and cuts off. Normally 30 minutes wait to get through to someone on the phone, who then does nothing to sort the issue and has no record of previous calls. 18 month service contract and router fails exactly 13 months into contract. was told the router is out of contract and was only for 12 months. Plusnet said an engineer was coming and when the router was diagnosed as the problem I rang them to cancel the engineer and they said that no engineer had been arranged. Only for self diagnosing the router issue I would have waited days for an engineer who was never coming. Paying for a service which is not fit for purpose. Tempted away by cheaper post office broadband (using talk talk network) and the contention ratio every evening was hopeless as was customer service. Switched over from BT six months ago. The switch happened seamlessly, but a week or two later the line died. A quick call to Plusnet brought a BT engineer a few days later and a weather worn junction box was found to be the cause. Unbelievably Which recommended Plusnet so we switched to them from BT. They do not do credit checks so impose an arbitrary credit limit of £50 per month. Bangkok airways cancelled our flight and it took a couple of expensive calls to Thailand to sort it out. The result? We were cut off and had to pay a fine to be reconnected. From the very first moment we signed up it has been the worst service we have ever received from any company. The price was reasonable which was the reason we changed to plus net, but for that price we've had the phone line stopped working 3 times, periods of no internet and numerous other problems. I upgraded to Broadband Infinity as my web connection disconnected every 2 hours. I was told something on the property was causing this fault. When he arrived the engineer commented that the 'master box' wasn't wired properly. He repaired it and informed me that the router and modem must be connected downstairs. cant comment on broadband speeds, phone or bills. I ordered broadband and phone on 16/11/15 for a my new home. After their rep made an error in recording my e mail led to an initial delay, plusnet escalated my order, and we received a text to say it would be done on the 3/12/15.
