Believing all you see on TV I decided after 20 years with BT to change ISP.That was ten days ago and since installing Plus Net B/B + Phone unlimited service can not say that I have had anything like an email service from the. Yesterday tried to contact and complain- 30 minute wait on phone and 48th. in line on internet chat. I left the nightmare that is TalkTalk to come to PlusNet due to their glowing reviews on line. I had nothing but problems with them from the start. They messed up our start up date and when the date came to go live, they were completely incompetent and failed leaving us without phone and broadband for over 2 weeks (we live in a small village with no transport so massively rely on an internet connection). I paid for fibre optic but their download was only 17mb. I have just given up after being on hold for 2 hours. I have previously phoned and asked to move the router, change channels and check downloads without success. 12 months ago within minutes I could speak to a person in technical support. Advise do not join plusnet around an hour to phone and be answered, so often in the mornings broadband appears to be switched off, the advisors just tell you such a load of rubbish blaming something wrong at your end so if you want an engineer it will cost you and here is the threat, £65, and then it takes about 5 days for that engineer to come after all the lies told you and you put the phone down the broadband comes on as if by magic, believe this you can find better even if it is a quid or… Read Full Review

I left Talk Talk due to dreadful service and was advised that Plus Net heralded "Good Yorkshire values". What utter rubbish! When I joined I was told that a reuter would be on its way a few days before we commence your service so that we could effect a seamless transision between leaving your old one and starting with us. We took up plusnet for some strange reason Speeds have fluctuated randomly, at times reducing to a crawl with no real reason at our end (off peak times, 1x device connected etc..) This is the worst provider I have had. The signal is so poor that it doesn't go 15 ft to the front room with the door open without cutting out every few minutes. I have been through all the ways to check what the problem is but it is the cheap, poor quality router that I believe is the issue. PlusNet is the worst internet provider I have ever had. On switching addresses they charged me more and took 6 weeks for them to reconnect. Numerous phone calls whereby people are polite but do not action what they say. Once you finally get internet, it is very slow, often disconnecting itself and then reconnecting again, meaning you lose service frequently. Firstly, this company's service is appalling. When you phone you wait ages to get through. When you eventually get through the staff do not really listen to your problem. I'm with a supplier who helped me set everything up properly and give proper service. Plusnet just felt a bit rubbish in comparison. I feel like they were bad because of how cheap they make everything. I heard an advert for their free broadband last week and all the T&Cs talked about traffic management etc - so i got what I paid for. It seems the only way to get help from Plus net is by telephone as they do not give out their E Mail address. The telephone service is very poor as most of the time you have to wait 30 minutes or more to speak to any one. My broad band is only half the speed of my sons who is with BT. I was promised installation on 11th of April, I was then told it would be postponed for a week. If they had of told me that from the outset there is a good chance I would not have placed the order. Not a good way to start a relationship by kid selling a product. They refused to compensate me for the time or the inconvience, the only complaints procedure they have is online which is no good if you have not got internet. Changed to plusnet because it sounded like a great deal, £20 a month as opposed to £50 with my existing supplier plus a £50 cashback. Although I was told that the change over from my previous supplier would be seamless that was not the case. After a call to tell PlusNet i'm moving home in 5 days, not a decision me or my partner want but we do need to. As expected, we cannot get fibre optic in the new area. I was offered a low 1-1.5mg speed at the new address for £1 less than what im paying for fibre optic. of course, im not going to continue paying over the odds for next to no internet. at this point I was told I can cancel the whole contract for £210.45 and start again as a new customer and get the next 18 months for free. fed… Read Full Review

The adverts may portray that Plusnet understand customer service, however the reality is very different. Wait times of over 40 minutes are typical when calling customer services. Systemically poor service, ill thought out processes and rude poorly trained staff… Read Full Review
