    The room we had was big with a balcony in the bedroom and livingroom, simple clean and basic. it is situated right at the begining of the strip, and malibu is 4 buildings away with a lovely big pool, vodka slushes are legendry! Everything is within walking distance, zoo is an excellent bar at the end of the strip, its a worth while vist! loved bannanas, u'll know why wen u walk by each nite-lol! would def go back to the irene -we love her!

    I think Malia is overrated as a place, but the holiday experience was good. 3rd time I've been away and comes last in the rankings but it was still fun. Check it out. Malia 2009?!?!?!?!

    I went with 18-30's but a word of advice, on your first night the reps with get you to spend an obscene amount of money on their activities, I say obscene because they want you to pay for everything (5 minutes after we arrived) that night, they don't allow you to mull over what you want to do...so just don't feel pressured to make a decision to spend a lot of money because you can go to Malia and spend a lot and have a good time. But the activities are good!

    The Irene is very close to all the bars and clubs, but far enough not to hear all the noise, about 100m till you hit the first bar. Rooms are basic but very big and clean, sleep three people. Have a full kitchen, kettle, hobs fridge ect which is quite good, as friends we made in the malibu paid for self catering an didnt have these facilities. The Irene doesn't have a pool but the malibu is only a short walk away and is lovely. The owner is lovely, yes she sits in the bushes at night waiting fo ...

    Myself and my mates stayed in the Irene Studios in Malia. There's not a lot of info on the Irene Studios on the net so don't be too worried!
    When you first see them, they look pretty rubbish, they're run by a Greek woman who is called, Irene!

    Rooms are only basic and sleep three, there's a main living bit with a fridge and bed/couch, then a double bedroom and a small bathroom. It's all only basic but it's enough for an 18-30s holiday for somewhere to sleep.

    Careful because Irene, who runs the place, can be an idiot, I remember she stopped me doing washing up, for some strange reason. She is about 45 and is really out of place because we were there to party and she wasn't.

    I was a little worried about Irene Studios as I couldn't find any reviews on it but it was great. The best hotel I've stayed in! It's only a small block of studios so you get to know everyone who is staying there which was great because you had more people to go drinking with! It's about 5 minutes to everything you might need in Malia. The rooms were very clean and quite big for 18-30's appartments. The woman who owns the studios is really nice she lives in the studios and let us listen to music ...
