Good Points: Nice appearance, easy to remove and empty bag, good power, double blade.

Bad Points: Unreliable! First one had a rod knock and took it back. Second one (this one) also developed a rod knock, but lasted four years. The transmission sticks (let go of the handle and it doesn't disengage), bad tends to fall off with bumps, and finally the engine quit. Bad valves.

General comments: I have a 25 year old Honda snow blower that is just great, but based on my experience with the HRB217TDA Harmony I think Honda's quality has dropped. The reason I bought mine was because my next door neighbor got one, but he had nothing but problems with his too and got rid of it when it quit.
As a result I will never buy another Honda mower.

I've had this Honda HRB217TDA Harmony mower for 5 seasons in Florida still runs like new if I keep the spark plug clean. I've never had a single problem with the propulsion system, and it's the only mower I can actually say that about. My lawn is over 1/2 acre and it usually gets cut 6 times a month.

This Honda Harmony 6.5 hp mower was a nice walk behind rear wheel drive 3 speed mower while it lasted. Purchased new from Northern Hydraulic in Florida for 599 plus tax. Oil changed annually. and mower always started on first pull. 28 months into ownership. the engine just stopped running in the middle of cutting our lawn. Mechanic got it going. but said it was shooting flames out the exhaust a foot long and shut it down. Then said it would be at least 200 dollars to tear down the engine an ...
