I am shocked at the way this company is run. I called them to get the tel numbers & email. I was refused as told they had nothing to do with claims. A driver came around a corner on the wrong side of the road & met me head on. The photographs in snow were a NO BRAINER. “Stay Clear, they are not nice to deal with”

Do yourself a big favour and stay well clear of Swiftcover, yes they may offer reasonably priced insurance, but this isn’t worth the shocking customer service experience. I lost my job, had to sell my car and therefore cancel my policy, they weren’t at all sympathetic and robbed me blind, by taking everything they could from me, when I objected they just quoted their t&cs at me. “Bully boy tactics”

Had a bump in my Honda Accord (my fault) and phoned them straight away. As my vehicle is relatively new I wanted it repairing by an authorised Honda body shop. Cue the emails telling me this will take longer and if they and Honda can't agree a price for the repair they will send me a cheque to the value that they estimate the repair to cost. I'm the one in the family who deals with car repairs etc, this includes insurance claims so i'm not new to the insurance repair process and have dealt with many different insurers.....usually they are reasonably efficient, no-one expects perfection. “RIPOFFS and No Service”

I was involved in a no blame accident, third party admitted liability, their insurers, Zenith, admitted liability but Swiftcover wanted to do it knock for knock 50/50 as it saved them work and I would only lose 3 years no claims bonus. To lazy to do their job, did not provide a replacement vehicle although it was in my policy, did the repairs and paid my excess. I rang up to complain that I had been approached by this company and requested they take me off their mailing list as my number was x directory. This is the response I recieved "why are you calling back if you want nothing to do with us?". My response was "excuse me" to which he replied "you're excused". Please think twice before insuring with Swiftcover My wife insured her car last year with Swiftcover, when the policy was up for renewal in April 14 we changed this to LV Insurance - I personal phoned Swiftcover twice to cancel policy as they were constantly sending reminders - my wife phoned once - on receipt of the next letter I phoned again and was put through to a different dept who said everything was fine and policy was canceled etc. Just received a debt collection agency letter… Read Full Review

“Dash cam evidence and they still wated 50/50”

my stationary car was driven into by a tractor driver, he admitted full responsibility, i had a witness in the car behind me, i had a dash cam that recorded the whole incident to show i was not to blame but swift cover wanted to go 50/50 as i would only lose 2 years bonus and they would not have to pursue the third parties insurers, i paid for a replacement vehicle but it did not come, i was told the repairers would contact me in 4 hours but after 3 days I called the repairers and they had not… Read Full Review

I wouldn't normally bother writing one of these, but after seeing some of the reviews and having a reasonably positive (if there is such a thing) first motor insurance claim thought I'd add some balance. “Car Insurance auto-renew Kept money that should be...”

When I cancelled my policy (as they just renewed it before I could stop them) I was told they would make a full refund, I questioned if the refund would go through as they had expired card details and was told everything went through, that night I was sent an email to say the refund hadn't gone through as the details had expired, they were able to take the funds but not give them back with the details!! “Failed to notify someone had claimed against my policy”

The renewal price was not competitive and I found a quote for over £250 cheaper very easily on a comparison site. I have had insurance with swift cover for 3 years and never made a claim. I therefore wanted to cancel my policy. You can renew your policy online, pretty much do everything else but not surprisingly you cannot cancel as easily.
