I would recommend Taj Tours to all my Friends who wish to Travel to Europe or Great Britain. I took the Enchanting Europe Tour & I must tell you, I had a wonderful time with the Tour Group. The Tour Manager was extremely courteous & the Food was amazing. Not even once we felt we are missing on something. I took the European splendor package in June and was highly disappointed. It should be named Europe through coach window instead. - no welcome message or quick dos and donts, but constant moaning from the tour manager/guide from the point go about what a tough time she has had with previous passengers. - In all stinginess, the tour operator knowingly had arranged only one driver who was bound by EU laws to drive only 8-9 hours a day.!! this meant starting late in the morning, harried stop... I have had worst experience with Taj Tours.They are based at 328-330 High Road, Triangle House, Middlesex, Wembley, HA9 6AZ. I booked a family tour to europe in August 2012. They were very prompt in communication till the money was paid. I paid a full amount of £2195 in advance and I was very much looking forward to going on the tour. Hi,
My story is the same. I had booked an alpine tour with Taj tours with my family in December. Taj Tours had called me up two weeks before the trip telling that they have cancelled the tour because of insufficient bookings. It has been three months now and they have not yet refunded the money. I am not going leave this until I find some justice. Can you please guide me through the steps that they have gone through to file a complaint? They are a fraudulent company and have eaten many people's hard earned money and we should not leave them until they have refunded us the amount.

Hi,
I don't think taking them to claims court is going to work as they keep striking off their limited company and open a new one to avoid getting caught by bailiffs. I think you should complain to the trading standards agency through their website. I have complained to trading standards and hopefully if they get a few complaints, they will investigate and prosecute them. If you know anyone else affected ask them to complain to trading standards.

I took the Alpine 6 days Taj tour on 16th October along with my wife. First of all the coach was uncomfortable, the seats even did not have a head rest even though we were to spend 6 days in it. After that the first day was really hectic. We started at 5:15 in the morning and reached hoptel at 11:30 in the night. "Waste of money and time "
Customer service is poor. No replies to emails for our questions after they got deposit and money from us.
In the tour, they bring you to hotels by 6pm-7pm. Since the hotels are away from city center, what are you going to do in the hotel room by 7pm. Always on the rush.." Did not even give 1/2 hr to 1 hr of free time to roam the streets of Rome, Venice, Paris etc on our own, but in hotel by 7pm to do nothing.

I would do the tour on my own next time. Good public transportation in Europe. Trains are excellent.
Think 1000 times before booking with Taj.

Took the Taj tour "Enchanting Europe" with my 75 year old mother. I was apprehensive because of my mother's poor health, and the ambitious tour plan, ...6 countries in 11 days. I went for 6 days european tour last month with taj with family. I faced serveal issues because of taj .. we are not comforable thru out the tour. No proper plan as per internary, Simply travelling in a bus with our toilet.. eating food on the petrol bump in rain. and big point is ONLY ONE DRIVER thru the tour. which is high risk as driver need rest .. Worst planning from the tour operator. Worlds most famous sites - and you either get to view them from window of the bus or get like 15min to take photos and move on. There is only 1 bus driver who cannot drive more than 9hrs as per EU laws. Hotels are not that great. Food is all Indian. Hotels are in the outskirts of the city so you literally don't get anytime to explore the place. The tour manager knows a lot but choses not to speak at all! Kontiki and Thomas cook do not have such packages, of spending 4 days in each city, neither do they Indian food. They also have lots of optionals (hidden costs)

The most unplanned tour I have ever been on. They don't show you one third of the things that are on the package. You will be eating food in the parking lots of highway service areas and gas stations. You will waste most of your vacation on the bus because they only have one driver on the bus to save money and that driver needs 9 to 11 hours of rest as per Europe driving regulations. The tour itself was good however, I think the London tour should be improved to allow us more than just few hours and pit stops (panaromic view of the city.) I Wont recommend TAJ - time management has not been done properly from the day one. The fact that we always had to spend a lot of time for reaching the spot, jeopardised the whole itinerary if I may stress. I have checked with other tour operators and found that we should have been put to hotels which are nearer to the spots, which was not the case with us. I would give 4.5 rating for 12 days trip to Europe thru Taj tours. First of all our tour manager Eldrin Fernando was excellent. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, calm and efficient planner. Aldrin Fernandez was our tour manager for the group from Tampa Florida. We travelled from 11th June to 24th June. The tour manager was fantastic and had indepth knowledge of history about the places we visited. Very calm composed. Very well organized and coordinated tour. Very good food too. We had a disappointing experience with Taj Tours. On our 6-day Alpine tour, over 2/3 of our daytime hours was spent on the bus. Our tour manager Anjali kept alternating between Nazi guard & grumpy kindergarten teacher. She would keep us in suspense on our daily program. On our full day Paris city tour, we got 80 min at Versailles Gardens (sorry, no time for the palace tour) and 70 min at the Louvre. The rest of the day was on the bus. I would contradict with the Tour manager comment as I feel its a bit harsh on her. She wasn't a spoilsport. She stood firm on all 6 days even though she was ill.
Apart from that the food was also fine but std of food for lunch can be drastically improved. The tour is going to be a hasty one as it is 4 countries in 6 days but the tour if laid out properly can prove to be more successful.
If possible find Hotels closer to the town as it may provide more time for people to be together and allow them to enjoy their evenings rather than tiring themselves travelling monotonously.
I would rate the tour as 3/5 as few things on the tour can be and should be changed.

Taj worst org has seen..We went by Taj at 2010 and 2012 to Europe 2010 is very good and 2012 is very very bad and worst Now a days TAJ lost the name and brand. No On-board check up the bus before start of the tour , NO TOILETS on Coach- childrens and Elder suffered very lot, Travelled time on coach is more than the visited time - NO PLANNING, not a reply/answer from them NO PROPER ANSWER, many if the itinerary not covered (read more)

Cost: The cost was VERY reasonable taking into account the places we visited, the transportation, the food, and the hotels. If you did the SAME thing on your own, you would pay a LOT more money. Europe tour Arranged by Taj Tour - Very good experience
My wife and I also joined the IASONJ sponsored Taj Tour in May, 2012. I found the tour covered many countries and we visited key monuments, museums, palaces and other sightseing. Tour guides were arranged where needed and they explained the historical significance of each place.
The tour manager Eric Patel did a wonderful job in over all managing the tour. He listened to any suggestions and implemented them immediately. The coach driver was very courteous and help to load and unload our baggage. He was a gentleman.
Indian vegetarian food was provided throughout the tour including hot tea.
Coach was provided with toilet but party was advised not to use it unless in emergency because it will not be cleaned until tour was over, and we did not use it because coach stopped at rest stop at an interval of 2 and half hours and we used rest stops.
When you join a tour like this u don't have luxury to spend as much time as u may wish and u may feel u are being rushed, but that is the way u see many place in such a short time. We enjoyed the tour. Anil Asarpota from USA.

Very correct! I totally agree with the above gentleman. I and my husband travelled with Taj Tours in 2008 and had the good fortune of having (name removed) as our tour manager. He was extremely well informed about the places we visited and explained in detail the beauty and importance of all those places. He would go out of his way to help us enjoy our trip. We ended up becoming like one happy family.
Apart from this, the accommodation provided was very comfortable and the food was good. What more can one ask for!
I have been till now and will keep recommending Taj Tours to family and friends.

“Mismanaged tour -tour manager needs traing and new watch”

Tour manager mismanagement was at highest peak. Every time trip started late,mostly one hour late. Therefore,Anjali our tour MISMANAGER had short cuts missing parts of excursions we were supposed to have as per itinery. In the coah children were constantly running up and down the isles and were nuisance to all passengers but tour manager never said a word. I have mixed response on the European splendour tour we had last month. The tour guide Roshan is very informative, caring and helpful. This made our tour very eventful. The customer service in US and London are really horrible. They have mentioned that they booked a coach for 7 people because of less passengers turned up and I have no place for London sight seeing scheduled for pre tour day. I am not sure how far you have taken the issue with them. I started through claims court by registering on the money claim website. once you register you can start a claim online. It is fairly easy, read the guidance notes. There will be £80 fee to start the claim which will be added to the claim amount. Write Novo Mundo Limited t/a Taj tours in the defendant's name. My claim is in progress, I can let you know at the end what happens before you start your claim in 3-4 weeks time. If it doesn't work out we can explore other options.

many thanks for your response. Tough one to digest is when I called they clearly told we would not get if we go through claims court or any other way as the original company itself is not there. Anyway I will wait for 3-4 weeks and then we will proceed. But its really shame on them to cheat like this. To be honest thats half of my monthly salary they have eaten simply saying "your cancelled". Really we should not leave them until we get some justice.
