What have you done to the roses I used to love and adore? especially Christmas. All toffees have been replaced by a softer caramel. They taste sickly sweet and the chocolate is now mixed with soya!! Will not be buying these again. I think continental chocolate is the way forward , at least they use more cocoa solids. Shame on you !!!!!!!!! (read more)

What have you done? Roses used to be kick ass, but now they're not. My "big business is evil" side says I told you so, but the side of me that loves Roses is crying, real sad broken dreams tears. They don't taste the same as they used to, they're way too sweet. Lots of the wraps were open & sticky. The "menu" has vanished. All the gooey ones seem to taste less like what you would expect & more like sugar. Ahhh well, at least there are less of them in the box! I will definitely not be... (read more)

I agree, they taste disgusting - far too sweet, and they've lost their creMt texture. I think it must be because they have been taken over by an American company - they taste as bad as their American counterpart Hershey's.

Just what I looked for also, a site to vent my rage! My favourite (and fought over in our youth) was the blue wrapper with red roses hard fudge/caremello. I was aghast that this is no longer in the box!!!!! Rooooooaaaaaarrrrrrrr of disapproval.

Quite a few of the chocolates have fallen out of their wrappers. The taste of some of the fillings lack in flavour (soft centres) but also very very sweet. Although chocolates have been purchased at the special Christmas reduced rate(£5), but it is as if they are actually 'seconds'. Would be very dischuffed if I had paid the suggested full price. When I was young, we bought a tin of roses as a treat at Christmas, the tin was colourful and large in size, it contained the best tasting chocolates that I had ever tasted. We still buy a tin at Christmas, but the tins aren't colourful or large in size anymore, we paid around £10.00 for the tin 8 - 10 years ago and it was worth it, we now pay £4 for the tin and look at what poor selections we now get. Roses used to be my absolute favourite selection box, but what has happened to the selection? - There is so little flavour choice anymore - far too many caramel varieties. And definitely far more in quantity of my least favourites - the orange and strawberry creams, than my favourites - the dark brazil and hazelnut swirl. It just feels like they are focusing on cheap ingredients rather than quality and variety. Kraft foods has rung the death knell for this British institution. I won't be... (read more)

Where do I start. I saved my tin of roses bought at xmas for a special occasion, this came today Friday 20th July. First of all the tin was near impossible to open. I gave up flustered and angry, my friend Ali broke a very long nail and my sister Danni had to get out the butchers knife. But at last, we were finally in. And this is where the disappointment began. Praline?? Long gone. Turkish delight. A distant dream. Peppermint cream? Apparently only the Aussies get to sample this pleasure.... (read more)

Do you work for cadburys ??? Roses are the biggest rip off in the chocolate world , no variety , poor fillings , no nuts smaller tins at a cut price so we think we are getting a bargain but in reality we get nothing. I cant believe they're coated in Cadburys chocolate. It tastes hard and cheap and the melt in the mouth of cadburys is missing. The centres are very samey, loads have runny toffee, and the hard toffee ones no longer seem to taste of much.
