    Good Points: Stunning facilities, vast site, get around on golf carts, amazing golf, has its own recreation of a C16th clifftop village, celebrity guest list.


    Bad Points: More expensive than other Dominican Republic resorts, but you get what you pay for.


    General comments: This 'hotel' is included in the book '1000 places to see before you die', that's how amazing it is. This is where Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley got married. US Presidents and Hollywood stars have homes there. If you like 5* sporting facilities, it's the place for you. You can stay in a hotel room, or rent one of the many gorgeous privately-owned villas. They are all different, and come with their own pools or hot tubs, and staff.
