I have my Honda Civic Sport for three years now and want to keep it for as long as i practically can. Always thought it was a brilliant car which handles brilliantly through corners, with such great feel for grip.
The biggest disappointment was the gear box which i had to have refurbished with new bearings. This cost me £1200, which i feel is outrageous due to the age (4 years old). I feel a bit harsh writing anything bad in amoungst all this praise. I do feel it is a great car that i have enjoyed driving ever since i have had it.
This gear box bearing issue is apparently common with the Civic which is a real shame. I feel the way the fantastic engine revs encourages you to work the gear box, which may not be quite up to it. I do drive it much more carefully on the gear box these days.

Having spent the last 12 months on first name terms with my local RAC driver I felt it was about time I picked a car that would provide me with some fun, but more importantly trouble free motoring. I'm a sucker for style and speed but thinking sensibly this car needed to do a 70 mile round trip each day without burning a hole in my wallet, I was unsure what to buy. Eventually after some weeks spent on car forums listening to people talking about their hot hatches I decided to settle on a Civic ...- Read Guest's review (401 words)

Only had my Honda Civic Sport 1.6i VTEC Type S for a couple of weeks now, upgraded from 1.4 Rover 25 (My first car) and the difference was immediately evident.
The ride is extremely smooth and it has the power there when you want it.
It looks the business, its not so 'in your face' like the Type R but it doesnt need to be, its subtle but you can still notice the cool trim around the sides and the spolier.
A great but for me, it had only done 39000 miles so basically a new car.
Great little car ...- Read Guest's review (131 words)

Ive had this Honda Civic Sport 1.6i VTEC a year now.....this car is one of the best car's that can be owned for this size of engine. It fills up with £45 to a full tank and does near enough 400 miles to a tank if you dont hit Vtec. Stops like a stone hitting a brick wall, looks the part and gearstick is positioned the way it should be in all car's for rapid gear changes.- Read Guest's review (94 words)

What a steal, this is a timeless classic which i think will never lose its charm and looks as the years go on!! The drive is smooth and its a car i love to get in to every day. I bought a Honda Civic Sport 1.6i VTEC 2006 old shape (one of the last registered of the old shape civics) from a friend who bought it brand new in 2006 just before i turned 20. Its done just short of 40000 miles but runs so smoothly even when i push it. I previously had a 1.4 sport 206 which despite what all my friends said was absolutely fantastic and wouldn't have sold if i wasn't getting my civic. As others have said looks fantastic with all the Type R trimmings on, spoiler, alloys, skirts, ...- Read Guest's review (219 words)

I have owned my Honda Civic Sport in blue for 2 weeks now.
It is a pleasure to drive. Being honest it is the 1st (out of 4)car I have actually just went out for a drive in for no reason apart from enjoyment.
I went for the blue colour on an 05 plate which tends to be less common than the silver and black. its done 47k miles.
I have noticed that the handbrake is loose and the sound system could be better but apart from that I cannot fault this car. The handling is great and it has guts to pu ...- Read Guest's review (142 words)

I've had my 2005 Honda Civic for a couple of months and I have to say that it is a very nice car to drive. I traded in a VW Golf Diesel so driving the Civic is a totally different experience. I bought the Civic because I wanted something sportier and had considered an MG ZR. However, I saw the Civic by chance on a forecourt one day and for some reason it said 'take me for a test drive' - so I did - and loved it. The only reason I haven't scored it a ten is because of the turning circle which c ...- Read ghildred's review (213 words)

The Honda Civic is a smashing car, looks good feels good, can be a bit light on the steering at pace but generally its a quality motor. People who dress them up to look like type Rs are daft, they stick out like sore thumbs.- Read Guest's review (61 words)

A modern day gem! Bought it because it has timeless lines and not as common as your Golf (design) definitely quality car the dealer wanted to be it back off me 2 years later. Has happened to two other mates as well. Fast on country lanes, quality dealership re: aftersales, always makes you proud jumping into this baby. Great looks both car and other motorists etc. The posers choice!- Read Guest's review (79 words)

I have only had my Civic sport for a number of days, however I love it. I used to drive a Toyota corolla, which was an excellent car but lacked the power I needed!
I have instantly fallen in love with this car, it is amazing to drive and it's very funny watching boy racer's rev there engines expecting to be faster away at the lights. The look on there little face as there Nova is a few feet in front of you is priceless. Just not quite as priceless as when you slam it into 2nd and within seconds ...- Read 0402mikesawyer's review (178 words)
