“Never Again!”

Written on: 11/01/2013 by Lolapola

These used to be my favourites and always on my wish list for Christmas. No more, the chocolate is disgusting and the box is in the bin, just not the same anymore/ Can't believe Kraft has messed up this successful product. American chocolate is rubbish. I will never buy Milk Tray again. Roses are rubbish as well now, will have to move on to Swiss or Belgian chocolate now, how sad is that. (read more)

“Horrible chocolates”

Written on: 11/01/2013 by Barnie0191

I recently bought a box of Milk Tray which I havnt had for a couple of years. They are bland, over sweet, and leave a horrible after taste in the mouth. What have Kraft done? Horrible, horrible product. Dont buy. (read more)

“"Nestles" Milk Tray”

Written on: 26/12/2012 by interview

Nestles have ruined the flavour of the Cadburys chocolate in their 'Milk Tray' Nestles ought NOT to call this product Cadburys Milk Tray (I agree the cadburys chocolate bars taste of the original cadburys recipe) BUT, the box of Milk Tray chocolates are absolutely disgusting! Almost like cooking/baking chocolate! I shall complain to Nestles and hopefully if enough of us point out their problem, they might take it off the market. (read more)

“Great iconic product ruined”

Written on: 17/12/2012 by panzee

I purchased a box of Milk Tray yesterday.I hadn't tasted it for a while. This was a family favourite and an all round treat. It is truly appalling It does not taste of Cadbury's chocolate.A sweet bland product, and I hated everything about it .I felt bereft and cheated.Americans have never been great at chocolate making and this has proven to be the case with this overly sweet product. What has kraft done .the recipe has definately changed Can't they make the same product at the Polish... (read more)

“Milk Tray impersonation”

Written on: 12/07/2012

Kraft have packaged this pile of cheap nasty foul tasting confectionary and called it Milk Tray. What a shock, it is positively vile. If there was a criminal offence for violating the traditional chocolate treats enjoyed by millions in Britain then Kraft could be hung drawn and quartered for what they have done to this old favourite. The chocolates ended up in the bin, what a shame the people at Kraft who are responsible for violating this brand with such a disgusting substitute cannot be... (read more)

“No man in his right mind would now deliver milk tray”

Written on: 08/06/2012

I was given a box of milk tray as a present and decided to share them with friends. I opened the box with anticipation. WHAT A HUGE DISSAPPOINTMENT. We felt they were only fit for the bin and thats where they ended up. No resemblance to milk tray of a few years ago. Chocolate and fillings DISGUSTING. (read more)

“Does the Lady still Love Milk Tray? No, she doesn't!”

Written on: 28/04/2012

I haven't bought Milk Tray for well over two years, because, frankly, I was appalled by the selection of chocolates on offer. My mum had been given a box over a year ago at Christmas, and she hated them too. The problem is that the fondant cremes have gone (goodbye: coffee and orange; my mum remembers a lime creme too). The current mania for "all the same" chocolate truffles or nut pralines has gotten out of control. There are no Montelimar nougats, no almond charms and instead we get a... (read more)

“revolting”

Written on: 22/04/2012

these were bought as a present, the chocolate is foul, greasy cheap and nasty. The fillings are poor quality and lack variety. Bring back the lime, coffee and wafer fillings that used to be there and change the orange and strawberry back to the originals. Would not purchase these again if they were the last chocolates in the world, and I am a mega chocoholic! (read more)

“Cheap Nasty Chocolates”

Written on: 18/04/2012

Milk Tray chocolates were the preferred choice of my wife and I for 50 years. We bought a large box this Christmas. Still havn't finished the top layer and probably won't bother. Bland, cheap and nasty goo. The quality of chocolate is terrible and they look like plastic filler squeezed out of a tube ! Probably why the hazelnut whirl no longer has it's distinctive defined whirl markings. The wizened old witch that masquarades as the companys Chief Executive has succeeded in her mission... “A treat lost”

Written on: 18/04/2012

What used to be a treat has becpme but a shadow of what it used to be. How I wish Cadbury's would return to the superb Milk Tray assortments of the old days - a real variety of centres instead of the tasteless junk now imposed on anyone unfortunate enough to buy their current product. Remember the old centres? Vanilla creme, Orange creme, Turkish Delight, Coffee creme, Marzipan, Toffee (proper chewy toffee, not the runny semi-liquid caramel they now use), Hazelnut whirl, Strawberry creme,... (read more)

“Rubbish”

Written on: 15/04/2012

Article in the Sunday Mail today,we totally agree with everything written. Why are they continually discounted? These were the only boxed chocolates that we would enjoy, no more. Taste like cardboard, all the flavours changed and no coffee flavour for my husband. We have nothing positive to say about Cadburys Milk Tray. This is what happens when you have a non English buy out. (read more)

Cadburys used to be the best,
Now you're just like all the rest!
RIP my orange cream,
And lime barrel's just a dream!
Cadburys you are very bad,
Your customers are all very sad!

Was given these as a present. Not at all how I remembered Milk Tray. Chocolate did not taste like Cadburys and the choice of centres was poor. I agree with the comment about the orange one. That and the lime barrel used to be my favourites! I actually threw the whole of the bottom layer away. Says it all (read more)

“Not the same”

Written on: 08/04/2012

All my life Milk Tray has been my favourite bix of chocolates. Due to an expanding waistline I have not sampled them for some while. This Easter my wife bought me a box. I was really looking forward to the lovely creamy taste of the chocolate and the creamy flavours of the various creme centres. WHAT A DISAPOINTMET. They were absolute rubbish. The chocolate was not at all smooth and left a nasty aftertase in my mouth. The old creme fillings have either been completely eliminated as... (read more)

“Rubbish!”

Written on: 06/04/2012

I bought a box of these. They certainly weren't like the Milk Tray that I remember (delicious and full of flavour). They all tasted more or less the same, very artificial and certainly not a lot of variety. The box looks impressive but the contents leave a lot to be desired and I certainly won't be buying them again! (read more)

“quality of product matches poor service!”

Written on: 06/01/2012 by UkImpartinfo (3 reviews written)

bought a large box of these a few months ago to see if they were still as good since being bought out by kraft foods. sadly not. the flavours of strawberry and orange are now very artificial tasting, and the selection had too many nut varieties. also, for only aboiut 30 choclates, i think the cost of £5.00 for this low range is quite expensive. the packaging ios very deceptive, and makes it appear a very big box, but the chocs are very small, and very dissapointing. so i thought i must... Written on: 05/05/2011

CADBURY MILK TRAY 200G : So I bought this thinking it might be something nice to sit down with in the evening with a glass of wine, and didn't buy the two huge dairy milk bars that were on offer as I thought this would be nicer. I paid £4.20 for something that I personally think was as good as something I would find in Lidl, or a 99p store. The chocolates were very average, there was almost no variety. About 4 of them were extremely similar with a hazelnut in the centre, nothing special.... (read more)

“I was given a large two tray box of Cadbury Milk Tray...”

Written on: 15/03/2010 by purpleoranges (2 reviews written)

I was given a large two tray box of Cadbury Milk Tray as a gift, and I have to say I was very disappointed with the selection. There were only 10 "different" chocolates in the whole box. I use the word "different" loosely because they all tasted very much the same and were incredibly bland. There were really only 6 types of chocolate; nut, caramel, fudge, strawberry, orange and Turkish delight. The orange didn't even taste of orange. I would never have known if it hadn't been the shape of... (read more)

Written on: 19/01/2010

My personal review. Cadbury Milk Tray is a lovely high quality assortment of chocolates, made with full cream FRESH milk -still wrapped in the iconic purple box!
A taste of 187 years of sweet british experience and institutional history!
I grew up alongside Cadbury's Milk Tray. It was my very first box of chocolates. I never forgot. My whole family was into Milk Tray because there's a wide choice. If I was good I got a caramel egg. If I did my home work I remember always being rewared... (read more)

“Cadbury Milk Tray is an absolutely fabulous selection...”

Written on: 03/11/2004 by Stuart Marshall (1 review written)

Cadbury Milk Tray is an absolutely fabulous selection of sweets, and all of the sweets are between 45 and 55 calories each. The contents are:-

Caramel Caress:
50 calories, 0.5g protein, 6.1 g carbs, 2.6g fat
This one tastes fantastic but then I love the fusion of caramel and milk chocolate, especially Cadbury chocolate.

Caramel Charm:
50 calories, 0.3g protein, 6.7g carbs, 2.7g fat
Similar to the caramel caress but slightly larger and a different shape.

Caramel Heart:
40 calories, 0.4g... (read more)

I disagree with this review because...the reviewer seems bias in his assessment. Every single chocolate is so perfect it does not merit the slightest disapproval? Even the calories are not an issue! I think if you write a review at least be fair in your comments!
