    Good Points: Great bargains
    Wonderful for kids' picture books
    Quick delivery
    Good customer service
    Free delivery over £25


    Bad Points: Limited range
    Some books go out of stock quickly
    Website slow to navigate if you just want to browse


    General comments: I've used the Book People regularly over past few years, and have found their service to be consistently good. If there is a problem with an order, they generally deal with it very well. I had a damaged item a couple of years back. They sent a replacement & let me keep the original. Just had a book arrive damaged. Was a little concerned as it was for a Christmas present. They are sending out the replacement before they arrange a return. Very happy!

    Don't want to give the impression their books are frequently defective. Most of my orders have been hassle free.

    The Book People are really cheap, you can buy in bundles and the delivery is really quick.

    Excellent book club and I have no complaints about it at all. I just am reluctant to join on line as i want to be able to still receive the catalogue as normal.

    I found this book shop a very useful adjunct to Waterstones, my prime choice. Clever packing, no hacking with scissors or struggling with cellotape, very prompt delivery, great bargains, seems to be more satisfactory by post than online.

    Great bargains, but no use if they don't deliver, or deliver late and give out misinformation on the order when called.

    Either hound The Book People constantly about your order and keep checking the delivery status, or go elsewhere if you don't want the hassle.

    I first ordered from Book People last christmas. After two weeks I was worried because I did not recieve anything. I gave them a call and they said because of Christmas they are very busy and my order will definitely be here for Christmas. A week later I got all the books.

    Couple of weeks ago I placed another order. The books were here within a week. Next day I realised that set of 3 books was missing. I called their customer service, they apologised and dispatched the book immediately. I go ...
