Hired October 2012. Good service booking car and rep was waiting in arrivals. Very rushed processing our documents as there were 2 other clients waiting. The vehicle was as requested, but it had virtually bald tyres and 1 windscreen wiper was U shaped, so thank God it did not rain while we were in Cyprus. July 2012 Paphos , I booked my car hire 1 week before I travelled , no deposit required and I had email confirmation within 5 mins of making the booking. The car to be delivered to the hotel the morning after my arrival at 10am , the young man was there 10mins early , we went through all the paperwork within 10 mins , I paid cash and was charged an extra 12euros for the petrol that was already in the car and was told to take the car back empty. I booked A Ford fiesta on line,and although it says a similar car may be offered, I ended up with a Kia Picanto which isn't even listed in the website, and certainly is not similar to a fiesta! However, nobody contacted me and I decided to call them to confirm the reservation. They could not find my request for some time and after they found it, I was told that no cars were available for the period I requested. We have been hiring cars at least twice a year for the past ten years for our holidays in Paphos.
We have used national and local hire companies but after reading Elephant reviews decided to try them this time.
We were not disappointed, everything they promised they delivered and more.
A quality vehicle, no discussions regarding extras, and we were quickly on our way.
By far the best company we have ever used and will be the first we consider on our future trips to Cyprus.

Elephant rent a car only fill the tank half full for 25 euros' only, which is great, as all the others in Cyprus charge you for a full tank of fuel even if you only use of it and they charge you at an inflated rate of 65 euros'.
Elephant rent a car don't take any payment until you pick up the car in the airport where you are meet by their friendly rep. The booking is confirmed...

He went through the paperwork with us and we added an extra driver to the insurance, at no extra cost, we paid 30 Euros for just over half a tank of fuel - this is a much better idea than having to purchase a full tank as most car hire companies do. Ordered this car by email,two months in advanced no deposit. Car turned up at my hotel on time and I had been upgraded! NO HIDDEN XTRAS! The company does state that it will charge you for any fuel in the car on delivery. My car had 3/4 of a tank and I was charged 28 Euro! The cheapest petrol I have bought in many a year. You do not get refunded for unused fuel so do some xtra miles to use it up as the island is worth the effort. I have no concerns from my experience using this company. (read more)
