    Good Points:

Bad Points: The flexible hose kinks stoppings the suction and constantly needs to be straightened out. The Hepa filter takes a lot of cleaning. The easiest way to do this is to pull all the fluff away and then give it a good clean using a stiff brush that will get between the pleats. If you need to wash it, brush it first and either plunge it into warm water, or as I do, put it under the hose outside under high pressure and leave to thoroughly dry before replacing it. This can be time consuming but it needs to be done regularly. In order for the vacuum cleaner to work effectively the filters need to be kept scrupulously clean. Make sure you have good filters. Mine came with a spare filter which is very poor, so I tend to keep using the one that was in the cleaner when it came.
For example, when I use it upstairs, I give it a good clean out before I do the downstairs. It doesn't have a floor tool with brushes, there is either the turbo brush or the hard floor brush. The turbo brush is ok if you don't pick up any hard lumpy bits and is good for curtains, upholstery and pet bedding.

General comments: The Morphy Richards 73172 ORB Bagless Cylinder Cleaner is light, compact, easy to use, tools easy to change. Dust canister easy to lift out and empty. Hepa washable filter.
The orb is light and compact, easy to manoeuvre in awkward areas such as under furniture and radiators and in small rooms as well as large areas. Ideal for a second vacuum cleaner as a back up if you have a two storey house and have to carry up and down the stairs. Has a variable speed motor which can be altered for vacuuming either carpets or curtains and upholstery. It has a turbo brush for taking up pet hairs. I already have a Dyson upright cleaner which, although good, is very heavy t carry up and down the stairs and will not reach under furniture and radiators. I wanted a small light vacuum cleaner as an alternative for upstairs.

Would NOT recommend the Morphy Richards 73172 ORB Bagless Cylinder Cleaner.
I renew my Vacuum Cleaners every Year so over the Years I have had many designs and makes.
I can Honestly say this is the worse Cleaner I have ever owned.
    Design is just horrible.
I wont be coming back for another Morphy Richards. Thats for sure.

I have only had this Morphy Richards Bagless Cylinder Cleaner for a few days and find it a very disappointing product. I would urge people who are considering this 73172 ORB to think again. You will be disappointed

We bought this to use in our holiday caravan, so it was only to be used for a relatively small area of carpet. The suction is so poor, that vacuuming becomes a lengthy, tiring and hot task. This was disappointing considering the specification looked extremely good for the money. It actually seems to work less well than more basic vacuums. Emptying the container is a messy task, as you have to physically pull the dirt off the filter every time it is emptied. Overall a most diappointing purch ...
