I guess I have to just get it out of my system:
I've only started to look for a flat to buy. When I saw one in the area I'm currently renting in a viewing for this one was quickly arranged but for another cheaper one denied as they allegedly had received an offer - that was Friday, on Monday I miraculously got a viewing becaus the offer had fallen through. Anyway, after the visit to the property in my area they just did not stop calling. Yes, I was somewhat interested but particularly for me as a first-time buyer it is a decision that needs time and looking around. Last thing you need is a pushy salesman who claims this would be the best property for you. After numerous calls I today told them that I was definitely not interested -yet, when I got home I found a letter saying that they had submitted an offer on my behalf for a price that I had fleetingly mentioned as the maximum I would be prepared to pay, if ever, right after the viewing. And htis although I never ever instructed them to act on my behalf, let alone submit an offer! And I agree with the other comments that they are really pushy to offer their financial services and arrange credit checks etc. too.

Hi, I have just moved with Lauren and Edd at the Bersted Branch. I don't know about the rest of the company but this branch was really good. They sold my house in 20 MINUTES and for 5k more than Gilbert and Cleveland valued it for.

Edd even bought me a bottle of bubbly as a congratulations and good luck in my new home.

Not sure where to start really but have to get it off my chest before I say it to the vendor and potentially lose the property.
We are currently buying through Mann Country Wide and at first I thought they were polite and friendly, that was until our viewing was cancelled (by the vendor) and we had to reschedule, the vendor was lovely and told us to go back the next day, Sunday. Mann do not work on Sundays and were VERY put out by the fact we had asked. This was the start, to shorten the rest:

they really messed me and my wife about.
they were late and kept us waitng for upto half an hour for viewings,
double booking viewings so we had to wait outside for other buyers to be shown round.

they turned up with wrong keys.

and they didnt like it when i THREW their for sale sign in the shop.
they expected me to keep it out side my house for two weeks after they messed me about that much.

i'll never use mann countrywide again. even if they are advertising my next dream home.
    I'll just te ...

they ripped me off £599 when buying my first flat with them.
they are very slow with papper work but when they see me walking into the shop they get my paper work out and say we're just sorting it out for you.

they took one month longer than promised to get the keys.
and keep making mistakes with paper work.

never use mann countrywide. they are very useless

I nearly bought a house through Mann Country Wide, but just before I put in the offer, the rude, arrogant, obnoxious and sexist sales person got very pushy and refused another viewing. He put me off for good. He was the most unpleasant salesman the vendor and I have dealt with and that just shows how much they care about their customers. NO THANKS.

Mann Country Wide play the buyers by the book, possibly the "Idots Guide to hard sell"

When enquiring in branch about purchasing any property, you will be marched to the Fincial advisor, who will try to convince you to use his services.

On informing them that you don't need their financial services, they will then tell you, that properties cannot be viewed till you go though their finacial advisor first, which is wrong..

I have a seemingly identical story to the previous writers. Extremely poor management of the situation. We had the property marketed at the end of November. However it never made the 'local' paper - their strategy is to advertise different properties each week. Christmas came and New year - nothing, then when we made a call to them they started sending a dribble of prospective buyers. Great we had an offer! however it's been six weeks and nothing has happened - no survey which means I'm sure no ...

A lot of estate agents took five minutes to tell me how easy it was to sell my property but when pushed could not promise anybody specifically to view. Mann Country Wide was different and after giving them the go ahead I got not only five viewings in two days but a full asking price offer. Brilliant!

I found this website whilst actually trying to find Mann Countywide's headquarters website to register a complaint.

I recently purchased a house in Gravesend Kent through Mann Countrywide. Before the sale they were helpful and friendly but once they got their commission it was if I didn't exist. I had to call them repeatedly to ask when I could pick up the keys after completion. I was told someone would call, no one ever did.

When I moved into the property the thermostat was hidden i ...

Where do I start with this one? Like the other reviewer I was going to be buying a property advertised with Mann Country Wide estate agents, and so I thought it would also be a good idea to sell with them, because it should have given them some motivation. They put our flat on www.rightmove.co.uk after 9 days, when they said it would be on the next day. It took them 2 weeks to show round the first prospective buyer in a very popular area where flats are being snapped up. On the second viewing so ...

We went with Mann & Co as we found a house we really liked through them. We thought they may work harder if we went through them, and oh so wrong were we. Firstly it took 8 days for them to write up the particulars for the house, and they failed to take any internal photos. I didn't mind paying a high commission as long as it was money worth spent. They do not have their own web site and in addition they only advertise on rightmove.com. It took 4 weeks for the house to get in the paper and ...
