Good Points: Sunny Fort was excellent! The large spacious 1 bedroom apartment was well equipped with safe, microwave, four ring hob and full oven, iron & board and remote control air-conditioning in the two rooms - a bliss!!
Each apartment has an allocation of 2 sun beds and a parasol, the fun part was tracking yours down round the pool but once you found them, you could relax and watch everyone else play musical sunbeds. Note: some people from the Bravo next door use the pool facilities but are charged for the pleasure. There was a lifeguard on duty through the day and there did not appear to be any real restrictions about use of the pool (like other countries) with many having a midnight swim.
The pool bar is nice and opens to 12 sometimes 1am; we had an evening meal there that was delicious. The on-site shop was open 8am 'til midnight and all the staff we met were friendly and efficient!
There are 3 small playgrounds dotted around the complex and the whole place is gated with security staff on duty so the kids can wander to their hearts content. There is also a tennis/football court that's well used of an evening.
A lot of the apartments are privately owned and there was a good mix of Brits, Bulgarians and Scandinavians.

Bad Points: If I have to find fault, they can be a bit precious with the white towels requesting that you don't use them round the pool or to mop up in your accommodation or your face a charge of 45 levs.

General comments: Sunny Beach, Sunny Fort: The Resort
Flew with Balkan on uneventful Scottish flight (with bar service), though Bourgas airport is basic to say the least, we then had a very fast transfer time.
Sunny Beach was great but big! In the fortnight, we still did not cover the whole resort. A wealth of things to do and kids will love the variety of activities while you try to choose from the large amounts of pubs & restaurant's to visit. We even found "paintball" near Disco Orange.
Imagine our surprise when visiting the TROYA bar just past DJANNY'S in the market where our first round of drinks cost just over £1!! Obviously, the nearer to the centre of the action - things do become a bit pricier but nothing in comparison to home!
We didn't have a bad meal the whole time, on average we paid about £17 for 2 adults (2 courses) 1 child and a round of drinks.
A shopping heaven, take £100 and an empty suitcase and you could buy all your holiday gear there. Not just designer rip-offs, gypsy skirts etc. (very this season) for £7. One place to check out would be the cash & carry's on the road past the entrance to the Aquapark. We never got a chance but were told that they sell T-shirts etc cheaper than the market stalls and are also excellent for food & drink.

    Bad points
The resort is very commercialised but at least everything is on your doorstep.
Some of the public toilets are a bit grotty but generally clean.
The locals speak English far too well, I had little opportunity to try out my Bulgarian but it always raised a laugh or smile when I did.
There is a lot of building work going on but it wasn't that noisy or obtrusive
