Good Points: A great car for drawing the looks (especially when the top is down!). Great handling, good for motorway driving/short drives. Leather seats are a must in the winter as is air con in the summer. The boot can hold a surprising amount (when the top is up) and when down, if you pack carefully there is still enough room to hold a tent and an overnight bag. The parcel shelf behind the seats is also useful for (small) luggage if the boot is not enough.
Bad Points: Having owned my 56 reg 1.8 Exclusiv for 7 months, you can imagined how upsetting it was for it to catch fire whilst driving to work at the end of August. There is a fault which has been reported in 53, 54 and 55 reg Corsa's and Tigra's which when the ABS wiring gets wet can cause fire. I am now without car and it is yet to be seen whether the issue is now being seen in 56 reg cars as well.. buy with caution...

Having just traded in a Nissan Xtrail for a new Tigra I am amazed that I find it roomy enough considering I am almost six ft tall. The Sport version is definitely a must, with its extras such as alloys, alumunium trim, sports steering, etc, although standard models are not to be sniffed at. This car turns heads! Sports suspension is standard, road handling is good and its a fun drive - the roof folds into the boot in less than 20 seconds and still leaves enough room for shopping. If you chose no ...

I would certainly buy another Vauxhall Tigra again, they look like a sports car, but are cheap on insurance, but do be careful when buying one as i have had several problems concerning my brakes. but don't all cars have their problems?

I have owned my Vauxhall Tigra for around 6 months now. I admit, it was the Tigras' exceptionally good looks that made me choose it, but I was impressed with the car's performance. Unlike most, I was not expecting a racing car - it's a Corsa underneath! The engine responds quickly and growls seductively, the brakes are, I admit, a bit on the soft side but once you're accustomed to the feel, you know they'll be there when you need them. The steering is excellent, no under or oversteer, nice and ...
