I went to Tennis Nuts to buy a racquet. The owner said I could try out the racquets but not the one I wanted which was reduced. He only wanted me to try the full price racquets. I thought this was unfair and bought the racquet elsewhere.

The second incident happened today (16/10/2009) when I wanted to buy a 6m slazenger mini tennis net. It's on sale at Sports Direct at £69.99 but £84.99 at Tennis Nuts. They have a price matching policy on their web site.
However, when I asked them to price match the Sports Direct price, they refused. Obviously, the price matching policy is at the amanger discretion and only when it suits them.

I placed order via internet, every thing went to plan, received confirmation and invoice quickly. The racket was virtually half the price of others on the Web, the shoes also a good price. The parcel arrived in the time stated. All in all, for me, it cannot get much better.The only gripe I have is, I wanted to purchase a cover for my racket as it did not come with one, I was told that this was not possible ? but they could supply an holdall, that's the last thing I want hung on my bike handlebar ...

Tennisnuts Customer Service is dreadful. They sent the wrong order and then faffed about for days promising to call back but never did.

Bad customer service, took ages to get my Internet order through to Tennisnuts. When it came it didn't contain no letter explaining the delay, not even an invoice! Not helpful when calling/ mailing them.

i ordered the merchandise online.
i called Tennisnuts to check on the order a week later, and the salesperson was incredibly rude!!!!! she did not want to give her name...... i asked her with help with the sizing of different vendors, no help.it has been 6 weeks and am still waiting for the merchandise. please stay away.

I have ordered from tennisnuts.com on 3 occassions and they always provide the service i expect.
Delivery is always quick, and they always have the product im looking for.
In fact, there was a Babolat badminton racquet i wanted that they did not have on their website. Knowing they are a supplier of Babolat equipment, i e-mailed them about the racquet and they were kind enough to order one directly for me from Babolat!
Excellent service!

Its great to talk to someone who actually knows the products they are selling. Not someone who is looking at the same web page as you and reading the box standard comments.
I was advised on a racket that would best suit my game which was delivered on time with no issues.
I recommend tennis nuts to everyone I know that plays racket sports.

I always shop at tennisnuts first and have had no problems at all. Very surprised to read comments of others. I've found the staff very helpful - always happy to try and chase up queries and resolve problems. Staff give sound advice about rackets, sports wear and accessories. If you have seen something you like they will even check websites for you. Parking at the shop is a bit of a pain but if you play sport you can manage a bit of a walk to get better service than any of the other loc ...

I always find the Tennisnuts staff very helpful and they are always willing to order in clothes that they do not have in stock. tidy shop, able to order online. They provide the latest tennis wear and a racquet stringing service for a fair price

Tennisnuts has superfast delivery...ordered on 24 hr delivery at 4.00pm.arrived the next day! Wasnt expecting till the day after. Superfast.

I ordered a racket a few days ago, from Tennisnuts!..this mornin and i just got it through my door...exactly what i wanted and it was custom strung...seem to feel nice and tight....i think there are a few too many peeps complaining about the company....its not the company that decides weather an items is faulty or not its the manufacturer....

Delivery on time. Staff no what they chattin bout!!!!

Bought a tennis racket for an xmas present only to realise it wasn't the correct grip-size. Having left it to the last minute, it wouldn't have been possible to send it back and wait for another one. But when i phoned up, I was told I could go up to either one of their shops in London and exchange them for the correct gripsize; which I did without any problems at all.Also noticed that the shops (I went to the one in Northwood Hills in middlesex) were cheaper than the website on a lot of items. ...

I'd bought a tennis racket from Tennisnuts as a christmas present only to find that I'd ordered the wrong grip size. Having left it to just the day before the eve, there wasn't time to return the racket for the correct grip size. However, when I phoned, I was told I could exchange the racket at one of their shops in London, which I did without any problems.Also, I noticed that the shop was actually cheaper on many items. Ordered a squash racket on Friday morning after phoning to check it was in stock. Order went through smoothly and I paid extra for next working day delivery (needed to get it before Xmas!). The website clearly states that it is next *working* day delivery....but Saturday morning, it arrived! Awesome! Even the printed invoice said delivery was "next working day (NOT Saturday)"! Very impressed and would definitely use again.

i ordered tennis rackets from Tennisnuts on two different occasions. shipped same day and received on time. i had special requests on both occasions (for instance, i asked for a VAT free form for the first order as the racket was going to be taken out of the EU) and they came through both times. also easy to talk to on the phone. As for the negative comments here - I think for wear and tear issues on shoes and rackets, you have to deal with the manufacturer not the retailer.

Definitely recommended, I have been using them for over 2 years and have saved me hundreds of pounds. I am not trying to criticize, but the other reviewers claim that they paid unfair delivery charges. No offence, but for good equipment you need good money. If you don't want to buy pro/competition-level equipment, looks elsewhere. But for those who are serious about their game and know what they want, it's perfect. Purchased a Babolat junior racket for my son from www.tennisnuts.com (£79 with delivery)
Within three weeks the racket cracked down one side. my son only used it 6 times, and I am sure he did not hit anything or the ground with it. sent it back to tennis nuts. heard nothing for 5 weeks until I called them. they informed me that it is not going to be replaced, but cant seem to tell me why, promised to call back with a full explanation. Poor trainers which my son went through in 6 weeks. (Age 12 and 8 stone with mens size 9.5 feet). Poor customer service, reluctance to give names etc. Refusal of refund or replacement. Diabolical. Will be passing the word around of my experience.
