I stayed at the San Pawl Hotel at the end of September. Having read some reviews I am quite shocked at how badly some people have review this Hotel. I paid extra when booking to have a Superior Delux room and was therefore in the area of the hotel which had been revamped. I think this cost me £40 extra for the week. We had a working mini fridge and air conditioning. I was pleased with the service we had as our rooms were cleaned daily and linin and towels changed daily aswell. The pool was clean, it had a few flies in occassionally but what outside pool doesnt! The entertainment on the evening was a bit mixed, it was rather cheesy but still entertaining. Our balcony was overlooking the entertainment and a few nights when we were tired we still mangaed to sleep over the sound of it!! I would recommend paying extra for a superior room as some reviews have said the other rooms arent particularly nice. Hope this helps!!

The San Pawl Hotel, St Paul Bay hotel is probably the worst hotel I ever stayed in. The room were grimey, all the furniture were worn down and ill fitted. The beds had horrible matresses withs springs poking my back. When I made my complaint about the bed the receptionist promised that maitenece would have it changed for me. When a guy eventually showed up he changed the bed to one exactly as bad as the first one. I suspect he never acually changed te matress. Very rude man by the way.

    The sta ...

The San Pawl Hotel is great if you are looking for a great value for money hotel. The hotel is very central and you can catch a bus to any part of the island just by taking a 3 minute walk down the road. The staff are great and so is the food. I enjoyed the hotel and would recommend to anyone, couples and families who need a break on a budget but wish to frequent beaches and possibly use the cheap transport to see some parts of the island. Older hotel and needs some refurbishing

Great hotel for a budget holiday basic but clean and food is very good quality for a 3 star hotel, the pool area is private and nice there is a new gym. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
Malta was a great experience, everywhere we went people were friendly and helpful it is also very safe especially at night. Also nightlife is pretty good too

Overall an excellent hotel with good facillities. Staff cannot do enough for you and just a 10/15 min stroll from main bars restaurants of Bugibba. Buses very cheap as well so easy to get round the island.

The rooms at the San Pawl Hotel in Malta were better than expected. The only thing was we backed on to the street behind, which had a very lively Irish bar, but as we're all sound sleepers, this did not disturb us, but I would imagine it could for some. The hotel was clean but in need of upgrading. Rooms were cleaned and beds changed every day. The food was great, but there wasn't enough choice for the kids. The pools could have done with a clean, and the evening entertainment directed at childr ...

When we arrived at St Paul Bay it was early evening, we were shown straight to the restaurant for dinner before completing check in. After an excellent meal we were shown our accommodation and given a guide to the area and bus timetable. All the staff were very helpful and polite and the layout of the hotel was very good. For our first time in Malta they certainly made sure we wanted for nothing and we would certainly go back there again and stay at the San Pawl

My boyfiend and I stayed at the San Pawl in August last year as soon as we arrived the woman was very rude when she was checking our details when we eventually got our key no-one told us where to go. The room itself was larger than I thought it would because we paid the supplement to have the fridge & air con. After a couple of hours in the hotel our toliet wasn't flushing and was flooding the bathroom into the bedroom area, we complained to the reception and was told the manintenance man was n ...

We were a family of two adults, one teenager and a child, paying for three adults and one child. We were allocated a small room at the San Pawl Hotel in Malta, with four narrow single beds side by side, with maybe 4 or 5 inches in between each one. There was barely enough room to walk in the door, and no room to store our cases. There was also insufficient storage space for clothes. The room was dirty and our feet stuck to the two rugs on the floor. There was a strong smell of mildew, and th ...

We had a great one week half board holiday at the San Pawl hotel the room we had was very big and so was the balcony it was a corner room looking out onto the street. We had a very clean bathroom with good shower and a hairdryer although I think it would take all day to dry your hair with the dryer. We also had a fridge and fan and air conditioning which was a god send.

The pool area was nice which is where we spent most of our holiday there was always somewhere to sit. the pool was salt wate ...

We arrived to find the San Pawl Hotel extremely run down and with an unwelcoming greeting we were shown to our room. Being tired from a long nights travelling we found our room to be tiny and incredible dirty. Rubbish from the previous occupants was still placed round the room. There was no air conditioning and the ceiling fan was broken. The toilet was tiny and the few pieces of furniture was old and half broken. First impressions of the hotel seemed to be more of a bed-sit. After having to sle ...
