Had to send my mechanical Breitling Blackbird watch for repairs - it was never accurate, missimg a couple of minutes a week, but then got worse. The procedure will cost over £500 and will take 10 weeks. Had I known the repair prices (check on Brietling web site) and timescales I would never have bought the watch.A mechanical Rolex watch in comparison, that my friend bought always ran accurately and did not need any repairs. The repair service was awful, the watch was returned to me after... (read more)

I have had my Breitling shark watch for 19 years and have had it serviced once before by Breitling about 10 years ago, it has never realy kept good time but expencive watches never do. I decided to take it in to Breitling for another service last year. 4 weeks and £250+ later I got my serviced watch back. 2 Days later the watch let water in and steamed up when I washed the car.... back to Breitling. 4 weeks later, Got the watch back repaired (complete with a slight water stain on the... Overall I've been very happy with my B1 however Breitling service has been another matter altogether. Exclusive brand, exclusive customer service? More like Ryanair than Rolex.
I had a small amount of condensation developed inside the watch so I immediately stopped wearing it and took it to a Breitling retailer for a service. The service cost £101 and took months to complete. Upon getting the watch home I noticed that the LCD functionality did not work as it should. You rotate the crown...

I love my Breitling Men's Watch (superocean professional). Solid, good looking and functional it's everything you want from a watch. Worn with a rubber divers strap it works best as a weekend watch, where its happy being bashed about a bit and submerged to whatever depth you can take it.
As its a chronograph i'm not convinced it keeps time as well as a cheaper electronic movement but the feeling of quality and the value it retains make this the version to go for. Overall a great watch, but...

I have a Breitling SuperOcean Steelfish XP891 which is rated to a water resistant depth of 6600 feet. Obviously, this is a tad bit deeper than I care to go, but it is reassuring to know that if I do they will find a still working watch on my body. The watch is solid and I do mean solid. It weighs approximately 225 grams and is 45mm across. It has a most interesting blue face that will assume slightly different hues depending upon the lighting conditions. The watch, like all models since... (read more)

The watch has been extremely unreliable and even more disappointing has been the customer service offered to me by Breitling USA. In 10 years of owning this pricey timepiece, I've had to return the watch for EITHER general service OR a complete overhaul (two times) five times. So do the math...in 10 years the watch has gone back for service every two years. In my opinion, this is disgraceful and NOT the sign of an immaculately crafted watch
As much as I still think Breitling makes an...

My wife bought me my Breitling as a present for out 1st wedding anniversary. Shocked, impressed and If I'm really honest was a little disturbed that she would spend so much money on a watch. I was always quite happy to spend up to £1k on a watch. I always though £2-3-4K watches were overpriced and unnecesary expenditure. Not now!
Just like cars, homes, prescious gems, it seems you really do get what you pay for. My watch looks fantastic is instantly recognisable and doesn't come with any...

A Breitling watch is more unique then most, including Rolex, and it stands out in a crowd. Mine can save my life too, and, I love having a classic piece that not everyone I know has. (read more)

My husband currently has two Breitling watches, which he absolutely adores (sorry not sure of the models). One has a metal strap and the other leather with a black face. Both are the most striking looking watches and personally I think, some of the best looking watches in their class.
The first one he bought himself several years ago - a nightmare to insure separately, will cost more than your household and building insurance put together, and it still looks as good today as the first day...
