San Lorenzo's has fantastically fresh and original authentic italian cuisine. They will also accommodate requests if you can't see something you like. Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended but you should book in advance as it's very popular with the locals. Prices are good and reflect the quality of the food, no frozen goods ! Pizzas are cooked fresh and all meat products are good quality. You can also eat outside in the summer.

The cooking and the service at San Lorenzo's are extremely good. The building is unusual, in fact it is more like a post war pre-fab but there are bits added to the internal decor that make it a cared for pre fab. The menu is extensive and the portions are large so ensure you are hungry. We have taken both children there, our youngest while he was still in the womb up to now (1st birthday) and the staff make them both feel special and welcome, in fact the staff make everyone welcome. The special ...- Read Guest's review (127 words)

San Lorenzo's - I tend to get grumpy in restaurants as I object to paying for food that isn't as good as the food I cook myself. No problems here. Authentic, freshly cooked northern Italian dishes, with great care taken over the sourcing of ingredients (and comments on the menu to tell you why), prepared with love and care to make some of the best food I've ever eaten. Magic.- Read Guest's review (70 words)

This was my first visit to San Lorenzo's, Mossley - I don't really visit Italian Restaurants as I am not keen on pasta, fish etc. However this menu was very extensive and exciting. Everything is authentic and they even make their own dough for the garlic bread. The staff were very friendly, polite and professional and made us feel very welcome. The food was gorgeous and I would definitely recommend this restaurant- Read belowthehill's review (77 words)

If you like Italian food this is one restaurant not to miss. The owner and the chef personally ensure that the food, wine and service is first class. Special mention to the staff for making every customer feel special. We have been customers here for quite some time and have never had a bad meal or bad service.- Read davepepperman's review (65 words)

The building itself is quirky - we lovingly refer to it as "the hut." Wherever we are in Europe we always compare them to Lorenzo's place - it's our yardstick. This is our comfort restaurant. Excellent home style Italian cooking - Lorenzo & co. know their stuff. The agnello (lamb) dishes are to die for. Really nice fish dishes. Plentiful portions.Reasonable wines - ask Sacha what he recommends.- Read amarsden's review (70 words)

When you go to San Lorenzos the table is yours for the evening and you are in no way rushed to finish your meal and leave. The menu is interesting to read and there is a wide choice of food to choose from. The service is quick and waiters are very helpful. The food is made freshly to order and you can see it being made. The whole place is immaculate and its brilliant value for money. If you want to go at weekend you will need to book a table. Overall this is a wonderful restaurant and I would re ...- Read Guest's review (131 words)

My partner and I discovered San Lorenzos in Mossley around six months ago, and we have never had a bad meal there. In fact, we have had nothing short of a great meal there. If we fancy Italian food that feels as though you could be eating at a family run restaurant in rural Italy, this is where we go. We can heartily recommend the house wine, and each meal we have had to date has been superb. Portions are generous and made to order. The specials board often centres around a certain meat or fish, ...- Read liese2711's review (239 words)

Mossley Northern Italian San Lorenzo's has to be our favourite Italian restaurants in the area. The food is excellent - service could be a little quicker in busier times, but that is not really a complaint. All the bread is made in house in front of you, and all dishes are cooked fresh to order and delivered straight to your table. Not too expensive either. Definitely worth a try.- Read babrahams's review (106 words)
