    What a disappointment. We camped at hare and hounds campsite 10 years ago and had a lovely break. The guy there now is just simply rude and offensive. Dont stay here.

    He basically has loads of petty rules and thats it. Do what he say or 'have you money back and leave' was his attitude.
    No one stayed more than one night whilst we were there.

    The basic toilet (singular!) kept geting locked and we never managed to get a shower because it was locked.

    Do yourself a favour and drive on.

    Having been staying at the Rye Foreign, Hare and Hounds campsite for the last 8 years,we can honestly say this is one of the best we have ever been too. The owners are wonderful and the food is delicious. All of our dogs have been with us at one time or another and are welcomed with open arms. We recently stayed in one of the rooms for a change and can highly recommend them.

    Due to a family bereavement, my wife and I travelled to the south coast from Lancashire.

    A family member suggested the Hare & Hounds rye foreign. We stayed a couple of nights B&B, where we couldn't fault the accommodation or the thoughtfulness of the staff during a very sombre time for us.

    We are returning in 3 months time in a happier frame of mind to renew our acquaintances with family and also the new friends who run the Hare and Hounds.

    My only advice would be to steer well clear of the Hare and Hounds pub and campsite in Rye Foreign. The aggressive and thoroughly inhospitable nature of the landlord makes for a very unpleasant experience. Myself and my wife stayed this weekend whilst cycling in the area and would certainly not recommend the Hare & Hounds campsite, B&B, pub or restaurant to anybody looking to stay in the Rye area.
