I've had one of these on my CZ452 for two years now and it's a superb scope.
Last May I was shooting Magpies in a field from around 90-100 yards as that's the range I'm zeroed for. I was shooting from inside a barn from the top of the stacked hay bales when I accidently knocked the rifle off, causing it to fall about twenty feet down between the hay bales and the side of the barn, hitting the brick walls at the bottom. The bipod was ripped off and the scope dented around the edge of the… Read Full Review

Excellent quality in terms of build and optical quality.
I consider this scope to be somewhat of a classic and am surprised to see that it appears to have been dropped from the current Simmons catalogue.
I have one on my Rapid 7 and will be removing it to fit onto my CZ452 .22LR as I don't see anything else to tempt me!

Excellent scope. have a few of the wtc's now, both on airguns and rifles. They do give more light when other scopes struggle as darkness comes. my shooting partner stops shooting at least 30 mins before i do! great with the lamp too..would definitely recommend to any hunter!
may not be up there with top of the scale scopes but then do you really want to spend £500 on scopes when they wont increase the limit of your gun!
The WTC magnification exceeds the power of my cz452LR and allows me to… Read Full Review

I recently fitted the Simmons Whitetail Classic scope to my CZ varmint .17HMR rifle.the rifle came as a package built up with a richter 6/24x50 paralax/illuminated reticle..and to be honest it was crap..for a 50mm front lens it was useless at low light and i think paralax is a waste of time on a rifle flat shooting from 50 to 200 yards,so i went for the simmons and it is a great scope.i was still shooting rabbits today when it was virtually dark and i prefer simple no gizmo scopes..this one is… Read Full Review

I purchased Simmons whitetail classic 3-5-10-50 a few years ago and immediately started getting larger group sizes. Turned out to have zero drift whenever the magnification was changed. Low light ability was nothing special at all - poor compared to middle of the road Tascos in my collection (and horrendous compared to my Doctor Optic).
Dealer sent it back to be looked at and then I was accused by the distributor of causing damage to the scope by tightening the scope mounts to much! When… Read Full Review

I have been using a Simmons Whitetail Classic on my .22 rimfire Sako Finnfire Varmint for the last two years and have nothing but praise for this excellent scope. The target acquisition is fast and the optics clear and precise with a good solid reticule for no nonsense quick shooting in both open field and cover. Both my father and I have an identical set up and we account for in excess of 1000 lamped rabbits a year… Read Full Review
