    Good Points: Diesel economy, Performance, Build Quality, Interior Space, Price, Dealer Support, Used for towing as well, better than vehicles costing £10k. more and good economy.


    Bad Points: Um? Yes, water drips in through open drivers side window, when raining, at 90 mph!!! Other than that totally perfect vehicle.


    General comments: Had three Skodas in 4 years, build quality, running costs, dealer support and purchase price excellent - Far better than the German rivals. Forget the badge, put the savings in the bank and drive a superior vehicle.

    You dont tend to think of Skoda when you think performance car, but let me tell you about the 2006 model Octavia 2.0i Turbo VRS. 0-62 in 7.3secs and 149mph top speed, all wrapped up in a stylish value for money package. Sitting on its 18" alloys and with the most tasty suede interior, this car just hoofs its competitors in to touch. A 150mph family saloon for under £18,000, with 5 seats, a huge boot, amazing handling, superb build quality and an engine that lets you drive it comfortably ...

    I am more than satisfied with my Skoda Octavia vRS estate which I rate as the best car I have owned in over thirty years. The combination of performance, load - lugging ability and value for money is unbeatable. Acceleration and road holding are exhilarating and at times a conscious effort has to be made to keep the car's exuberance and enthusiasm in check. Fuel economy is reasonable but obviously depends on driving style. The pale grey carpets and seat panels are pretty impractical, even for ...
