Good Points: Incased in the seemingly indestructible casing is a great little machine. Not only is the screen quality suberb, but the standard graphic card is ample for even the most demanding user. The crystal clear speakers also don't let down the way the machine sounds, which you find in a lot of mid-range machines these days.
Bad Points: Dual band memory module means that to upgrade from the 512MB (2 x 256MB) to 1024MB (Maximum) you need to buy 2 x 512MB modules and pretty much bin the old 256MB's. Also, the supposed hour and a half battery life advertised is only accurate if you do nothing except stare at the machine... ask it to do something and you can almost watch the battery guage drop.
General comments: The Sony PCG-K115B is a good, solid laptop. Good value for money and a great first buy. Shame about the lack of DVD-R though.

The Sony PCG-K115B is the first laptop but not first computer I've owned so much faster and better than the big desktop. Love it.
