    Good Points: Can recover selected file types.
    Can recover formatted drives or drives that have lost their drive letter.
    Can actually view the deleted files on your disk using the trial version.


    General comments: Get Data (www.GetData.com) is a very powerful data recovery program. It has some good advanced user options, but its simple enough for a beginner to use.

    In my case I was able to use the "Fast Format Recover" option to bring back an entire deleted partition very quickly. The ability to preview files in the demo version is excellent, because seeing the data is assurance that it can be recovered.
