Good Points: Great realism Top-class physics Good price
Bad Points: Touch repetitive
General comments: Colin McRae Rally 4 - The Fourth game in the series and the big question on all of our lips is; is it worth the money for a game which is essentially the same to the first 3. The answer is not simple, having played all the games in the series it is clear that with the production of each game the design gameplay and graphics have all got better. This new version boasts new graphics, updated physics and better animation. This does make a better game and the diffrence is certainly noticable as the game is more realistic than even before. Colin Mcrae Rally 4 is, however, just another rally game and to be honest I think if you just want a few hours of fun any of the series will fulfill your needs.
The game is overall enjoyable and your money will not be wasted, but if you are looking for anything other than a top qualitly rally sim then this is not the game for you. Recently I have seen it selling at £16 which is definitely worth it, racing sim fan or not. Colin Mcrae 4 has considerable merits and I can assure you that if you have enjoyed the previous games this is no let down, just be aware that you're not going to be doing anything you haven't done before, just this time it'll be better.
