I've played all of the major brands over the past 24 years.I've owned my 7 peice Rockstar for four years now. They sound awesome with a decent set of heads.You can check mine out at myspace.com/n.t.drummer. I gig with them and record with them. I recomend them to any one who wants a great kit for a great price. (read more)

Awesome kit. Great quality sound and value for money. They looks great. Skins and cymbals are arwe of good quality for beginners, just a tune up and and they'll sound like a pearl vision. (read more)

Have played - including professionally - for more than 35 years and Tama Rockstar is a fantastic set of drums for the money. Really never considered owning a Tama before as I played top-of-the-line Gretsch and Pearl for 25+ years.
When looking for another new set a few years ago, I had a custom set of Pearls on the radar, until I visited another store and this beauty was showcased.
The workmanship is second to none and with a good set of replacement heads, this set really does a great...

Everything about this kit is wicked good for a beginner kit. I've played some pro kits and i can still get a better sound out of my tama rockstar. all you need is some quality heads and good tuning and your good to go. definitely THE kit to start out with. (read more)
