“unprofessional service”

The overall experience was absolute nightmare !! We were traveling with our young children and the service they have provided unbelievable. We have pressed button to call air-hostage and had no luck. They never responded, I have to leave my two young children with my wife to call assistance, any time we needed for warm water or help to fold the child bassinet. “No issues, quick route and friendly staff”

I've flown with most of the long-haul companies from Australia to UK and the only one I really disliked was BA/Qantas, which was over 15 years ago, so maybe they are better these days. We flew with Qatar because they offered the cheapest flight with the quickest transfer times. I was a little wary when booking because of the bad reviews, but I figure that these things are a bit of a lottery anyway. Luckily, we had no issues during our return journey. “WORST POSSIBLE SERVICE! More like 1 star!”

We had booked our honeymoon to the Maldives with Virgin Holidays in July 2014 and were allocated connecting flights with Qatar airways (Heathrow - Doha, Doha - Male) Time of departure was scheduled for 15.10pm and once landed in Doha we had 1 hour scheduled to make the transfer to the next flight. However we already got delayed in Heathrow for 1 hour before the flight took off. “If your thinking transiting through Doha ...... dont”

To all thinking of flying QATAR AIRWAYS and transiting through DOHA. In a nutshell, dont waste your time. Its a mess of an airport, staffed by could not care less ground staff, a horrific transit process and one that has questionable screening protocols. To top it all off the airport transit terminal is dirty, over crowded and has disgusting restroom facilities. i have had exactly the same experience , bad transfer facility, zero service on the ground , phones simply never answered or just hung up on.

To top it all off my daughters IPAD was accidentally left on the transit flight, the ground staff REFUSED to allow us to communicate with any of the remaining crew on the plane or the cleaners to locate and return the object. the " find my IPHONE" facility traced the IPAD to the aircraft and was then abruptly switched off by what seems to be its new owner....100% negative on the airline and leads me to wonder how on earth they can substantiate branding themselves as a five star airline.

Imagine being forced during check in with a valid flight ticket to purchase another ticket to be allowed to board the plane for the flight which you already have a ticket for, well that’s what Qatar airways have resulted to now to make up for the falling number of passengers in their planes they force passengers during check in to buy other tickets which they don’t need only to cancel them later and yes there is a little cancelation fee which the airline will happily pockets for from you… Read Full Review

“Good can be better”

Being an avid traveller (flyer) have flown with plenty of airlines and have dealt with plenty of travel agents. Have flown with Qatar in the Past. “damaged lugguage”

There are so many things that Qatar airlines did that just was not the way to treat people. The one that really has the lasting affect is that my lugguage was damaged, and after being away from home for three weeks, and just getting off an international flight that had lasted about 31 hours, I thought that I would deal with the airlines later. i have had exactly the same experience , bad transfer facility, zero service on the ground , phones simply never answered or just hung up on. My luggage was also damaged not once but also on the return journey to Singapore.

“Systematically deceived and lied to by Qatar Ground staff”

At Dubai, Qatar Airways gave priority to loading freight, thereby incurring a one hour delay to Doha. So, 16 passengers to Oslo were left behind in Doha because of this delay. Qatar made no effort to delay the Oslo flight. While we were waiting in Dubai, Norwegian had a flight directly to Oslo - Qatar could easily have moved us over to that flight, but they did not! “Consistent, Professional, Courteous”

I am finding some of these reviews very hard to believe, except that most seem to refer to the ground staff rather than the onboard cabin crew. I fly Qatar between Vietnam, Thailand and Europe 2 or 3 times a year and have done now for 5 years. The main reason is that they have cheaper fares than competitors and shorter transit times in Doha (which, OK, is nothing to write home about but for an hour or so is perfectly bearable). “Disrespectful and extremely poor customer service”

Staff in Tehran airport were very disrespectul upon my return to the US.
