“Thief of my luggage in Qatar Airway!”
I traveled with Qatar airways for the first time from Stockholm to Iran and I can say that was the worst travel I had ever, since one of my baggage was lost! At first I thought that it would be found with delay but it did not. I bought a lot of souvenirs for my family and all of them was in the lost luggage! “booking nightmare”
My husband needed to end his trip early due to illness so I had to change his flight. After an hour and a half of calling the number I was given by the travel agent (who had already spent an hour trying to get through) and always getting a busy signal I had to go online and search for another number. I finally spoke to a human who then kept me waiting another 20 minutes only to tell me I would have to call back the next day because they did not know how much more to charge me for the difference...

That was Nothing, QR017 DOH -LHR was delayed from 4.30pm until 1.30am, but the 1.30am flight was also delayed for half an hour!!!! The 1st and the last flying with QR!

Qatar Airways has reached its level of incompetence. It has expanded so quickly with such poor infrastructure that it now has incompetent and uncaring staff no place for the aircraft near the terminal, and. not enough buses to service the waiting passengers and ferry them from the terminal to the aircraft or vice versa. I have flown more than 100 flights over the past 6 years on Qatar. The review is erroneous and dishonest in a number of ways. 1. Drinks are free on all Qatar flights 2. While the real reason for the delay was a technical problem, i cna state categorically that Bangkok slots are 10 minutes each. “Lies from the flight deck”
Boarded late and departed even later. Announcements from flight deck making up rubbish about air traffic control at Bangkok requiring 10 minute slots between planes on the runway, eventually anouncing that there were electronic problems with the plane and engineers were working on it. “Qatar- clearly the worst, worldwide”
Over the last 30 years I have flown 27 airlines *(list below). However, based on my recent experience of flying 4 flight segments on Qatar, it is definitely the worst airline in the world. The onboard crew was unfriendly, the equipment faulty, the ground crew was poorly informed and non-caring, and the toilets had a foul smell so strong that it hit you even before boarding the flight! I use them about 20 times a year. I can only speak about Business Class. The cabin service is excellent but being a frequent flyer I can recite the menu - I wish it would change - and after 5 trips or so I have seen the films that are with watching; the choice for Europeans is poor. This is the best airline I have flown with great planes, good cabin staff and excellent food. Unfortunately they now appear to be competing for the high price end of the market without offering the benefits of Etihad or Emirates (e.g. Limo service) so I do not expect to use them soon unless the price drops....

I too can't believe all the negative comments, although people are usually quicker to complain than to praise. I have never had a bad flight in over 3 years of using them (Silver FF), food is good enough for an airline, and I always pre book the low fat meal. Drinks are free flowing till I fall asleep, which I do with consummate ease. In flight entertainment is excellent. Online check booking and in works well Ground staff are mostly friendly, but we all have off days or serve stroppy customers....

Not impressed at all with this airline. How on earth they have been awarded five stars is beyond me! The IFE system went down for hours on both legs of the trip. The drinks trolley appeared with the meal trolley. I guess we should be greatful they handed out a 300ml bottle of water during the longest leg. No amenities pack had been given during the first leg which was over seven hours. It would of been nice to be able to brush your teeth. I am surprised that there are so many bad reviews for Qatar Airways. I traveled earlier this year with my husband and our infant son and had an extremely good and comfortable experience. It is a long long flight from USA to India with one stop over in Doha but the entire experience was pleasant. The hostesses and staff were extremely helpful and caring. They were great at providing me with baby food and other essential supplies as well as a baby bassinet for my child. The Doha airport is very tiny...

The service was absolutely first class (even though I was flying economy) and the polite staff had excellent English which suited me.
