Good Points: Great graphics, good audio, blu-ray player built in.
Bad Points: None
General comments: I bought the 40GB version and as soon it was out of the box I noticed how good it looked in its glossy black cover, it took seconds to connect and has a few connections such as scart and HDMI, it only took a couple of minutes to use the on screen menu and set up the console, after charging the controller (it charges while connected) I tried the the dvd player which was easy to use and had a comprehensive on screen menu using the controller and then put a game in the machine, the graphics are fantastic and overall this is a superb console, another victory for Sony.

I have had a lot of games consoles in the past, been 30 I was one of the generation that was bought up with games consoles. I have previously owned the Sony PS1 and Sony PS2 so the PS3 was the obvious choice and I haven't regretted it for 1 minute, the features are excellent such as the Blue-Ray player which allows you to hatch blue-ray DVD's in excellent High Definition quality and the graphics are second to none when the console is connected to the TV using the HDMI leads. Playstation 3 is the best hardware Console on the market.Very cheap. Yeah cheap. CELL B/E is still £700, Blu-ray £350 & PSN for free. Say No more.

Overall looks the part and will become the ultimate all in one box under the TV,New tv recorder card out soon, Amazon have pre-orders for around £60 which will turn you PS3 into a freeview digital recorder.10/10

Though this console costs far more than any games console ever should it makes up for it's price in sheer quality. The console itself looks stylish and the wireless controllers are a big plus. The graphics are the biggest plus with this console, you just don't get quality like that anywhere else other than on the best desktop gaming rigs. If you have a lot of excess cash to blow this is one thing you wont regret blowing it on.

Like the graphics, good to play and good online. Has one big flaw in my experience - hardrive - games stop loading or fatal error message appear and unable to do anything. Am on the 4th console since October, had 60gb first now 40gb, both have gone wrong. Sony seem to know of this as they exchange with no quibble and I have since found some people are on their 5th console, I have returned mine to retailers with no bother. It is getting quiet a few exclusive games. Little Big Planet, Killzone 2, Haze and when these are released I would argue the ps3 is the future and will be bought over the 360. For me the only negative thing for me to say about the Sony playstation 3 is it shares a lot of games with the xbox 360... but this is nothing.

In general, the PS3 is fine. The inability of the 40gb console to play PS2 games is quite absurd. It''s rendered my whole collection of PS2 games obsolete as I purchased the PS3 as an upgrade for my PS2. Overall, unhappy with this.

The Sony Playstation 3 is a great gaming console, in my opinion this should be chosen over a xbox 360 everytime, blueray (which the PS3 offers) is becoming more and more in demand as the talk over HD dvd has become obvious that they will be no more. I bought this Playstation 3 to go with my new Samsung 32" HDTV.The main reason I bought this was to play BluRay movies and with most standalone players costing double or more than the PS3 and even then there was no guarantee they could play the new type of BluRay disk whereas the PS3 was cheap and up-dateable guaranteeing it was always able to accept the new BluRay profiles which Sony likes changing quite regularly rendering existing players useless. The release of the Sony Playstation 3 throughout the World last year was marked with a quiet horrah as it was so badly delayed it seemed it would never happen, but mostly a faint whimper from a company still unsure of it's own product and it's final revision. Total mess in my opinion, too expensive not many games I'm surprised the ps3 hasnt discontinued in the shops might as well get an xBox 360 this is my opinion anyway.

The PS3 is a a great console, full of impressive features with in my opinion the best new hardware any console has. However, like all consoles there are flaws... NOT WITH THIS!
Great HDD Drive and Brilliant resolution at 1080. I recommend the PS3!

There are not enough great games to choose from. There should be at least a close amount of games compared to the EXTREME and AWESOME intensity of the ps2. In my opinion in a couple months these games better be good or nobody will feel like payin this much.
