I have had many a happy hour playing my Xbox, It has lasted a long time and is reliable. It has taken a few knocks but has dealt with them well and shown no real signs of damage. I definitely recommend this to any gamer. (read more)

I used to have the old Xbox Arcade with a Hard Drive which used to break all of the time. I thank the main issue is that they were over heating because of the fans on the bottom which was causing problems with the hardware and software. So I think the original Xbox 360 was one of Microsoft's worst product although the Xbox was good for entertainment and baby sitting your kids but it cost loads of money to send them back if you didn't have a warranty or insurance. I used to want a ps3. Even four months into owning a 360 i was still saving up for a ps. But after now, 3 years with an xbox, and seeing ps3 network failures, endlessly, i think i've made the right choice. xbox has everything and i can't imagine using anything else. (read more)

Bought this a couple of years ago, hardly used....maybe 30/40 times, turned it on the other day and got the 3 rings. Although out of warranty the lack of use and fact that it is a known issue should mean a replacement or at least a free repair. Sorry Mr Gates, no more money from me! (read more)

Well were do i start. The graphics are extremely poor The design is rubbish due to the fact that you have fan holes on the sides and on the bottom so it doesn't matter what side you stand it on you will still be blocking the fans. What is more you have the red ring of eternal death which destroys your xbox. Let me ask a question, Why would you buy something that breaks it is a waste of your hard earned money. I have to say that this is definitely worth your money. Not only is it a great video game and entertainment system it will keep you occupied for hours. I bought mine in 2007 and not a single problem has occurred with my Xbox 360. I recommend this for any type of gamer whether they be a casual or hardcore gamer. (read more)

It is a great gaming system that is on top of the gaming world right now. It has a huge variety of games and is definetly worth getting. Brilliant. I bought this Xbox after my previous one died from the red rings of death, and while a lot of people are annoyed that a lot of Xbox consoles went wrong, i was happy with Microsoft service. So, the new Xbox came with an HDMI port, so even better connectivitiy, and since not having an Xbox around, there have been huge changes to the Xbox Live Market Place, including Sky Player! i now have sky on my Xbox! All i need now is some more to play it and I will be happy. (read more)

Well, i bought my XBOX 360 last year, and despite all the criticism of it breaking down and crashing, mine never did. It crashed maybe once, due to me moving it by accident. The graphics are very good but not PS3 standard, but the wide array of games on offer for the XBOX do counter that. The machine loads very quickly but can be rather loud when trying to play at night without family members realising. But can i complain with the £200 i paid for it? I bought my xbox 360 console when they first came out. I absolutely loved it, the draw back is the first consoles never had hdmi ports fitted and the fans were very noisy not to mention the size and weight of the power brick. Problems with overheating are common with earlier ones and after two and a half years I got my first ring of death. Microsoft fixed it for free under the extended warranty of three years. Money wise you buy the xbox 360 prem or the xbox 360 elite for much cheaper than the ps3 or the ps3 slim but if you want the xbox live its £40 a year so if you have the xbox live for about 3 years it would work out about £120 and it would all total up to more than the ps3 or the ps3 slim so if you're thinking money wise you are probably looking for a ps3 or a ps3 slim, its better value for money.

When considering a console just before christmas, I had a choice between going for either the 360, playstation 3 or Nintendo Wii. In the end I decided against the last two as the ps3 is twice the money of the 360 and also people I have spoken to say that the games haven't really reached their full potential for it yet. Although the graphics are good, my nephew received this for his Christmas which was totally ruined by the XBox360 not scratching his games but actually scoring them beyond belief. When the games were inserted the Box made an awful noise a clunk and a whirr, on taking out the disc the score on it was unbelievable totally ruin his Christmas

The xbox 360 is an excellent console, the online experience is amazing the graphics are practically the same as the PS3 but the xbox has more games to appreciate. You may have to pay £40 for a years xbox live gold but that works out at something like 10p a day so Im not that bothered I have been told by my friends that own PS3's and you don't get the headset free and a very good headset will cost around £23 and although paying that much the clarity of the headset online is terrible for me... The noise it makes is horrible and annoying I find, I can hear more from the console than the TV, accessories are expensive. The console is brilliant no doubt, but it could be quieter. The 360 is an excellent console. I have both systems but i prefer my 360 over my PS3. *Online services better than playstation 3
*Games are easier to develop that is why they are sometimes released before the ps3 version. Games look better unless developers take an extra 6 or sometimes even 12 months in making the same game E.G Oblivion , Bioshock ( 2 years!!!)

the large amount of games released helps the console as well.
but the 360 has only hardware, very old. DVD is 7 years old and was in PS2. 360 should of had HD-DVD inside. Hardware failure is massive issue with the 360 with a 1/3 of 360 getting RRoDs.
360 may have a lot of games but i only own 11 titles, i'm selling 4 on friday for some wii games. i only 11 titles because there not many AAA games on the 360 & all 360 exclusives are...

I have both the xbox 360 and the ps3. I have had the xbox for 18 months, it was barely a month old before the "ring of death". Was repaired quickly, but it crashes a lot, overheats too quickly and is very noisy. When it breaks again (and it will) the only place it will be going is in the bin. PS3 is 5 months old, no issues at all yet. Not much difference graphically between the two. There are better and more games for the xbox but its only a matter of time before thats not an issue. This console is amazing. I got one to see what it was like and because we wanted Halo 3. I have had the console for about 5 months and it has been used lots. The console can get a bit hot and it has a big power supply but who cares?

The xbox 360 is an amazing console with outstanding graphics and outstanding controls. I have had no problems with the xbox 360 and the best part is all the new games come out on the xbox 360. Finally one bad point it costs to go on Xbox live but the console is still great! I would recommend this to any games console gamer !

Everything I love my xBox 360 from day one, there is nothing I can say that is bad about it, I think it is much better than the Ps3 which is just a slightly better version of the Ps2 in my opinion, also with less games, I well recommend the 360 over the Ps3, as it has everything the PS3 has but better games and better online play. I do not recommend the XBOX 360, stay clear of this one if you want to go online it has no anti virus program in built or available to install..
The console became infected with viruses and no way of getting rid of them coming in on Microsoft create some software to combat this problem.

I have not had any overheating, ring of death or freezing issues. Only once or twice when playing a legacy game on it (Halo 2) All other games, Halo 3, COD 4, Gears etc are great. I have used consoles for 15 years now and I suspect that the processors and cooling needed are insufficient to run a large 40" HDMI TV and play online for more than several hours at a time. The Xbox 360 is good gaming system with a lot of great games but the thing that is the most annoying, as far as I know anyway, is the amount of times it locks up. Is this the problem?
<br/>My son's one was sent back within the one year warranty which took months to solve the problem with many calls made only to get a call centre not understanding English without a manager. Since then the process does not take quite so long but we have had to return it at least three times and each time the console has been returned when I gently unpack it ther seems to be a noise like a loose screw inside.
<br/>When it was last collected I was told by the courier that all he ever seems to collect are X Box's.
<br/>Microsoft should have made a re-call for them.
<br/>When it works he loves it and now that we have all the accessories we can't afford to let them go to waste by replacing it with Play station.
