I keep getting cold calls from these people who as for someone who has never lived here, saying the person completed an online survey asking for help with debt consolidation, all of which is untrue. They never listen to what I am saying, they talk over me. These lemons keep contacting me I do not wish to partake in there surveys, but I do help them out now with answers such as hairyballbags, arse crack,do you shave your bush, etc and to my amazement it just doesn't fit into there answers for the category for there surveys and to end the call I like to tell them to f*cck off politely and not to call back or I will escalate my answers to the next level. I've just had 3 calls from Consumer Lifestyles.co.uk in 4 days. All with Indian accents, which I find hard to understand. I asked how they got my home phone number as I'm ex directory and they said from a survey I did on the internet (I do belong to a couple of survey sites). I thought these survey sites are supposed to keep everything confidential and not pass on your details - obviously one of them has. They wanted to know my gas/electric supplier, if I had made a Will and had a Funeral Plan, did I want to set up a direct debit for a Charity etc. etc. They really are nuisance and next time I'll just put the phone down.

You should blame the company. Who is responsible for your suffering not the people who call you from the offshore call center because the truth is the business has been obtained or given to us from the UK nowhere else and it is them who is making us call you. We are just doing our job and also would like to tell you it is a machine/ dial-er/software designed by them which throws the call at us and a name pops up on the screen and v have to speak to you we do not dial your number manually and break the law so called TPS. Please be kind to us its not our fault blame the company based in UK watford. Thank you. hope u understand.

I'm getting calls 3 times a day now, and when I tell them I don't do market research over the phone they insist that they are NOT market research. Gathering consumer information is market research! Obviously they are using international call centres as the callers seem to have difficulty understanding when you try to speak to them. I get up to 10 calls a day from this company from India despite being on the TPS. If you tell the person to stop calling you, they then ring and ring and ring for the next hour and put the phone down when you pick up. A completely disreputable compny if their phone people are anything to go by and should be avoided at all costs. I've been getting several calls purporting to be from "Consumer Lifestyles." 1471 always comes up as number not being available, implying they are from overseas.
This morning a man with a heavy Indian accent introduced himself as "Brian(!)" of Consumer Lifestyles asking to speak to me by name.
I explained that I had told them in the past to remove my name from their list to which he responded that it was probably another company, as "There were lots of similarly named companies around." Yeah, right! I said something along the lines of them all being the same, politely said "Goodbye" and hung up.
In retrospect, and next time, maybe I should have extended the conversation to get more information, and, dare I suggest, goad them further!

I've been having similar problems and have asked, then demanded that I be removed from their call list, but still get calls. Having asked a few questions I was told that they are phoning on behalf of "Customer Lifestyles UK in Watford", so I did a search and found their UK contact details.
The company is actually called "Data Locator Group Ltd" or DLG of 64 Clarendon Road, Watford, Herts, WD17 1DA. Tel: 01923 281700. Fax: 01923 281723.
I have complained to Trading Standards, but if the calls continue I will start making a nusense of myself and start phoning them each and every time. Fortunately their website details the email address and direct dial telephone numbers of 8 of their key personnel.
Now, if we all did it...

Consumer Lifestyles keep phoning me in spite of complaints to Telephone Preference Service. On the latest call I did a search and the caller rang off as soon as I quoted the company address. I have the same thing happening to me they must phone me 5 times a week at the same time. I have told them on numerous occasions to remove me from the list and I'm still getting the calls, they are ignoring my request and now talk over me to point where I have to put the phone down on them.
Not only that but they are asking for someone who has never lived at this address!!! Is OFTEL effective? Any info would help.

I also got this call a few times and refused to go through with the survey. A little searching and i found this -http://www.thedatapartnership.com/Consumer-Lifestyle-Surveys.htm - called the 0844 561 1133 number and a guy who seemed helpful agreed to remove my data from their records of course I had to give my telephone number and surname but then they already had this day so it couldn't hurt.
All a bit fishy but nothing too sinister.

Just had a call from someone claiming to be from consumer lifestyles, I never give out my house number so I wasnt very happy. Found this review which seems to be the only one with a phone number that works! Spoke to someone that actually sounded english who seemed helpful enough to remove my details....but as the review says you will have to give your info to them so they can find you on the system!

Do not participate in any research with this organisation. My wife did last year and we have been bombarded with research calls from abroad on a weekly basis. We cannot stop them. Some are silent calls that occur several times in a day.
