    Good Points: Fantastic, romantic, tranquil setting, gorgeous, EMPTY beach. Truly friendly & ever helpful staff. Made us feel very spoilt. South China Sea is like getting into a warm bath. Food in all restaurants excellent. We have been to many places in Malaysia & this is no. two only to Pankor.


    Bad Points: Although the village is only a few hundred metres away, the area is mainly muslim & therefore the restaurants do not serve alcohol. The food is excellent & cheap so worth trying. Taxi drivers will always have a favourite chinese place to take you to. Very basic, will sell beer only. So cheap (£6/7 for three WITH beers!!!) treat the driver, he can decipher the menu for you!!! It gave us lots of fun on the nights we wanted to get away from the hotel.


    General comments: Kuantan Hyatt Regency - Tops for a really relaxing break. Lake Chini well worth the trip. Faultless hotel. Go with the flow outside hotel. Trust the people, very friendly & warm. Have adventures, ask the cabbies to take you to Chinese rerstaurants (they serve beer!) pay for him, learn about each other - very good fun - the bill will be nothing!!!! We are definitely going back. Of all the places we have been in Malaysia only Pankor Island tops this place.
