Summary

Towards the end of 2006, Haddon House took the strategic decision to exit the leather upholstery market, due to many issues experienced with our suppliers.

The company is committed to focusing solely on cane/conservatory furniture which is our original market and one in which we shall continue to build on our reputation of supplying good quality products.

We would like to sincerely apologise to any customers who have been inconvenienced by recent events.

    I must say I'm absolutely astounded at the level of service afforded to us (which is pretty unusual these days). You guys under promise and over deliver, adding that wow factor to an order. That's what gets you the all important "word of mouth" recommendation and that's worth more than any "paid for" advertising, All I can say is we are absolutely delighted with the furniture we ordered, the price we paid, and the service we received, just fantastic guys keep up the good work.

    If there is one suggestion I could make it is that it would be nice to see a preview of the actual furniture being ordered in the colours and the material finishes on offer (rather than an online swatch which gives no real indication of scale) having said that we just love the pattern and colours we actually ended up with.

    Really good quality and the price was the best I could find - it was nice that Haddon House were willing to give a big discount (it was a big order!) and it all arrived as it should have done - except a week or so longer than I had hoped (took approx 6 weeks but they said 4 initially)

    In the end I was happy to wait the extra 2 weeks (explained they had a delay receiving the stock) as it would have cost twice as much elsewhere!

    Had our cane chairs delivered from Haddon House at te end of last month and we think they are brilliant, totally matching our expectations!

    I should also like to say how much we appreciated the delivery people. I found their service impeccable; efficient, thorough and friendly. There was some confusion about delivery dates but it was worth waiting for this standard of excellence.

    I wanted to thank Haddon House for wonderfully friendly and prompt service. I had intended so send this thank you sooner, but the cushions arrived the day before my guests - perfect timing - and we have been very busy ever since. I will not hesitate to continue to use this company, and indeed recommend them to all my friends.

    I have nothing but praise for this company. Right from the first time I called service was friendly and the delivery went without any problems - even the packaging was good quality. The brochure does not do the furniture justice!

    All in all I'm delighted with the furniture and the price, and the service from the delivery drivers was first class.

    Was a bit disappointed that the delivery took a long time - we are in Scotland and Haddon don't deliver there as often as other areas (due to demand apparently) but they did say they are starting to use another company for these deliveries so it shouldn't take as long next time.

    I'drecomend this company.

    Badly co-ordinated service (arranged finance on one day, 2 days later, another staff member rang me to ask how I wanted to pay).

    Inflexible delivery, which could feasibly see you waiting for a very long time for your goods.

    They also want to charge you 10% of your order if you want to cancel the order due to their totally inflexible delivery service.

    I will never attempt to purchase from Haddon House again.

    Haddon House are an excellent company to deal with. Help available every step, from the samples they sent to organising payment and delivery (which was much quicker than I thought - less than 2 weeks after I ordered).

    Highly recommended!

    We went to the Haddon House display at Window World in Carlisle. The assistant there was extremely helpful and informative. She was objective, knowledgeable and assisted us in all aspects of our purchase.
    Once we ordered, she immediately gave us a delivery date and this proved to be accurate.
    We have received quality furniture which is extremely well built, comfortable and good value for money.

    I have had two two seater sofas and one armchair in the Gatcombe range for just over 12 months. White scratch marks are appearing all over the sofas. I have paid for an independent assessor to come and look at them, but he sent an inconclusive report - how convenient. We are disgusted with the quality of the leather of this suite, and can't understand why the marks are white and not the same colour as the leather (chocolate brown).     I am so happy with my furniture from Haddon House. I have had problem after problem with getting my conservatory built, so it was a pleasant surprise that everything went so smooth with the furniture.

    I have 2 armchairs and a footstool from the Wasdale range, and they finish the room off perfectly - the cane even goes well with the blinds that I had from Thomas Sanderson! I couldn't ask for any more.

    I would like to express my complete satisfaction with the way that a problem that arose with the settees I purchased from Haddon House Furniture was dealt with.

    The items were replaced with no fuss of any kind, and I received a cheque for the difference with the costs of the different leathers.

    It has been a pleasure dealing with a company that treats customers in what is, perhaps, perceived by some as a somewhat 'old-fashioned' way of being, in as much as 'the customer is always right'.

    I wasn't expecting a good service, as so often happens nowadays, but the service I had from Haddon House was excellent! From the response to my initial query, the swift confirmation of order, through to the actual delivery of quality goods so quickly. I have no hesitation in recommending Haddon House to my family and friends.

    This company is unhelpful, and to say the least, not organised. I telephoned lots of times spoke to a few people. I also asked to speak to the Managing Director. In the end I cancelled the order with Haddon House and purchased elsewhere.

    Some cushions that I ordered from Haddon House arrived wet. I advised Haddon House who exchanged quickly. I am very satisfied with the service and product overall, and I would recommend them!!

    After ordering two settees during August 2006, they were delivered on time. However, this is as good as it got. I was unhappy with the quality and I exercised my rights under the '7 day free trial' (subject to delivery fee and pick up fee etc). After a catalogue of errors; i.e. letters not arriving, phone calls not received and e-mails supposedly being sent, they eventually picked the settees up 6 months later!!

    Please Please don't purchase from this company. They are still trading while insolvent and owe previous customers money which they will never receive. This company took back my Sofa knowing that they couldn't offer me a refund.

    We ordered our sofas from Haddon House at the beginning of August, and we were told they would be delivered within 3 weeks as they were supposedly in stock. 3 weeks later the sofas weren't delivered, and when we chased Haddon House we were told that they had no idea when our sofas were going to be delivered as they weren't in stock. After phoning them weekly they finally agreed to a delivery date of mid October.

    Having now waited for over a month for theme to collect the faulty table and refund our money, we have now resorted to taking the matter further, but we expect it to drag on without any assistance from Haddon House.

    I ordered a leather sofa from Haddon House in mid October. I was told the item was out of stock, but I was offered an alternative, which was in stock and available for "express delivery". It eventually arrived 8 weeks later. However, my credit card has been overcharged by £85!
